“Lord, Make Me An Instrument of Your Peace"

October 19, 2026

From the Desk of Mrs. Renee Gallagher, Principal

SAL Parents:

Our school had the wonderful opportunity to welcome professional Peruvian dancers last week! One of our school moms, Cece Kemnitzer, generously shared her connection to the dance troupe, making this special experience possible. The dancers performed two beautiful artistic selections for our entire school!

Following the performance, our very own Maureen Michaels from the parish office shared a video featuring years of photos documenting the work St. Anthony on the Lake has done in our sister parish in Peru. It was especially meaningful for our students to recognize familiar faces in the photos and see firsthand how our parish community puts its faith into action through service.

What a wonderful opportunity for our students to celebrate Peruvian culture, strengthen their understanding of our sister parish, and witness the beauty of serving others! A heartfelt thank-you to Cece and Maureen for helping make this memorable experience possible!

This Friday, October 23, our 8th graders will be out of uniform for their 8th Grade Day of Reflection. All other students are invited to help kick off the WORLD SERIES by showing their Brewers spirit! Students may wear blue and gold or a Brewers shirt with out-of-uniform bottoms. Let’s cheer on the Crew together! ⚾💙💛

I hope to see many families at Trunk or Treat this Friday! Please note the slight change in timing for the end of the event.

With faith and gratitude,

Principal Renee Gallagher

HALLOWEEN DRESS UP AT SAL

This year, we will continue the tradition of wearing costumes here at SAL. All students are invited to be out of uniform on Friday, October 30th. Students in grades K3, K4, and K5 are welcome to come to school in their costumes for their morning parade and party. Please have the children wear approved out-of-uniform clothing underneath their costumes for an easy switch! Students in grades 1–8 will change into their costumes after lunch for their parade and parties in the afternoon.

When choosing a costume, please keep a few things in mind. We are a K3–8th grade campus, so please do not choose a costume that may frighten our younger students. If your costume includes a mask that completely covers your face or any accessories, those items will be used only for the parade portion of the day. And, as always, please refrain from any costumes that include any depiction of a weapon.

COSTUME PARADES

We will have two costume parades during the school day on Friday, October 30th.

The first parade is for our 3K, 4K, and 5K students. Beginning in the lobby outside their classrooms, parents are welcome to line the lobby so that they can see their child right at the beginning of the parade! Your child will head through the hallways, various classrooms, and even through the parish office! This parade will begin at 11:00 a.m. and should last approximately 15 minutes.

Our second parade will involve students in grades 1–8. Beginning at 1:00 p.m., students will participate in a hallway parade that will eventually exit the building and pass by parents gathered on our school playground. Parents will cheer and clap as they celebrate all our adorable children in their costumes! Please look for specific classroom communication regarding party logistics and item sign-ups.

Students celebrating birthdays in July & October can be dressed up in out of uniform attire this Wednesday and will receive a special blessing at Mass!

Scrip

Scrip is one of the easiest ways to raise money for St. Anthony on the Lake AND is a key part of our fundraising activities. (See this great instructional video for information on Scrip and how to get started with your orders.) Money raised from SCRIP has been used to help support the purchase of curricular resources, for tuition assistance, and classroom supplies.

So how does SCRIP work? You buy either a physical gift card or e-gift card at face value. For each purchase, both you and St. Anthony earns money back. Earnings vary based on the rebate percentage offered by that merchant but range from 1.25% to 22%. Of the rebate earned, 50% goes back to the school and the other 50% is distributed at your discretion to one of the following:

· Credited to your family’s (or another family’s) tuition in the following academic year

· Donated to St. Anthony’s on the Lake School

· Donated to St. Anthony’s on the Lake Choir

· Paid to you as a cash rebate (2025-2026 rebate was paid out in July 2026)

Last year, some individuals earned over $300 in tuition credits and received over $400 in cash rebates!

The easiest way to purchase SCRIP is via the RaiseRight App. The RaiseRight App offers instant e-gift cards from over 1000+ merchants. You can purchase e-giftcards oftentimes in $5 increments while checking out at a store and use it instantly. For a list of merchants available through the app, visit https://www.raiseright.com/brands.

You may also purchase physical gift cards either through the app or using the Scrip To Go Order Form. The gift cards can be sent home with your child at school or picked up in the office.

Reach out to scrip@stanthony.cc for further questions.
