Members-Only Early-Bird Registration
Members-only Early-Bird Registration — on sale earlier than ever before. Early-Bird Registration begins November 18 and runs through January 18.
Through Early-Bird, members save an additional $50 on top of the member price of $485 — so members pay just $435 for the full conference.
And membership gives back all year long: the conference discount; ten interactive online workshops a year, free for members live or by recording; exclusive resources including Scholarly Musings; and local guilds for ongoing learning and telling — all for $100 a year for individuals, or $65 a year for seniors and students.
Not a member yet? Now is a great time to join NBSI: you’ll get the lowest registration price and a guaranteed place at the 2027 conference.
Or buy a membership as a Christmas gift for your favorite Biblical Storyteller!

A New Secretary for NBSI

The board has nominated Diana Foote to serve as NBSI’s next Secretary — and we are glad to introduce her to you.
Diana serves as pastor of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Scotia, New York, following a 30-year career as a public school Spanish teacher.
She first discovered biblical storytelling at United Lutheran Seminary, in a course taught by Dr. Mark Hoffman, one of NBSI’s own Scholars. In his class she learned a Gospel story by heart and told it to her classmates — and Mark invited her to attend an NBSI conference.
She’s been coming ever since. With each of the three conferences she’s attended, her love of storytelling has grown, and she’s found the courage to step a little further outside her comfort zone. As Lisa puts it, Diana will be great — she is very enthusiastic about joining the board, and we are glad to welcome her.

Five Women, One Bold Question: A Story That Changed History

NBSI Online Learning — Sunday, November 15 · 7:00 PM EST 90-minute interactive workshop · led by Lisa Larsen Hill
Can you name the five women whose courage changed the course of history? Hidden within the Book of Numbers is the remarkable story of Zelophehad’s daughters — Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah — five sisters who dared to challenge tradition and ask for justice. Drawing on the research and discoveries behind her biblical novel, Daughters of the Wilderness, Lisa Larsen Hill brings Numbers 27 to life through storytelling, reflection, and conversation.
