Défi Cyclo-myélome
and raised $102,417 for the Université de Montréal Myeloma Canada Chair on Multiple Myeloma at Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont.
Thank you to
Francine Ducas
and
Maryse Bouchard
, organizers of the event, for this fantastic achievement! The event not only brings together the myeloma community, the medical community and various partners, but it also raises awareness for the Research Chair. The Défi provides the perfect opportunity to
shine a light on the work of many professionals who usually are behind the scenes, and to highlight the amazing work of
Dr Leblanc
and
Dr Roy
who play a crucial role in the success of the Research Chair.
|
We are happy to see the Research Chair grow, thanks to events like the Défi. Thanks to the Chair, promising new therapies are introduced, and our understanding of myeloma is deepened. Myeloma Canada was proud to have taken part, once again this year, in this wonderful event.
Congratulations to the team and all participants!

Linda & Brian's Special Wedding
|
|
|
|
When their dear friend Phil Harbridge was diagnosed earlier this year with multiple myeloma,
Linda & Brian
wondered how they could support Phil in his cancer fight. Their answer became clear when they set their wedding date. They decided that instead of gifts, they would ask their friends and family to donate to Myeloma Canada to help support myeloma research on behalf of Phil.
|
|
And to make this day even more special, they've given their friend a very important role...
Rev Dr. Phil Harbridge will be marrying Linda & Brian as well as acting as their Master of Ceremony.
Thank you, Linda & Brian, for your selflessness...we wish you all the best as you prepare for your lives together!

Rain or shine, the event was a lot of fun and raised a total of

A 50km Challenge for Gill Compton
|
Gill Compton
wanted to do something special for her mother who's battling the effects of myeloma. Even though her mom had great results from her stem cell transplant, day-to-day activities are still a struggle. Living in England, while her mother is in Toronto, Gill wanted to honour her mom by doing special, so she's setting out to do a 50km trek in the Peak District in England.
Gill is raising money as an honour gift for her mother's birthday and in support of her challenges with myeloma. Thank you Gill for your generosity!
