Nashville, TN (March 3, 2022) Exciting news for FMG & REAL Southern Gospel Records artists, the Williamsons! The album release party for their newest project, "Above Everything," was held at the Future of Southern Gospel event in Maryville, TN on February 19. Music from the Williamsons' new CD was featured on the very first REAL Southern Gospel Radio live remote broadcast and the Live with Les simulcast!
The Future of Southern Gospel event was the first of its kind and a huge success. Paul Belcher, promoter of the event, was incredibly pleased with a full house and great singing from the Williamsons, the Lore Family, and the Coffmans.
Donnie Williamson stated, "On February 19, we were very honored to be part of a Paul Belcher promotion which he called "Southern Gospel….. The Future." Paul told me a couple of years ago that he keeps his eye out for groups that he thinks deserve a chance. He said he did that back in the 80s and did his best to help some groups - three of which were, The Perrys, Gold City, and the McKameys. They all did OK……. He went on to say that he felt there were some groups today who deserved the same type of chance. I was blown away when he included us in his list.
He promoted the event just as he would if he had brought in the “big boys“ and it paid off. We had a house full of very responsive people. There were three groups that were not unknown but not necessarily well known. You would have never known it by the reaction from the crowd. I was amazed when several people said it was the best concert they had been to in a long time. Of course, about all that the Lore Family, the Coffmans, and the Williamsons know how to do is have church!
I am so grateful to Paul and Helen Belcher for giving us their vote of confidence. I trust that his experiment brought glory to the God we serve."
