Changing the World, One Home at a Time!

Every summer, Old Brooklyn CDC focuses its efforts to repair the exterior of owner-occupied homes. This is an effort to address one of the greatest needs in the neighborhood, particularly for seniors, residents with disabilities, and those with low-moderate incomes. This work would not be possible without the dedication of volunteers working to make an impact in our neighborhood.

Thank you to our Summer Interns!

OBCDC has hosted many interns over the years who have helped to advance the work of the organization. This summer, we were thrilled to host three summer interns: Leanne (Tri-C), Catherine (Cleveland Foundation), and Chase (Tri-C). They assisted with farmers market efforts, volunteer program development, and grant exploration! We are grateful for the impact they made during their time at OBCDC.

If you are interested in interning with OBCDC, please reach out to HopeF@oldbrooklyn.com to set up a time to chat about potential opportunities.

Get Creative at the Old Brooklyn Farmers Market

Add your creative touch to an exciting new mural! Once a month at the Old Brooklyn Farmers Market, attendees will have the opportunity to paint panels with a colorful array of fruits and veggies. The kids especially had fun painting the mural at the first market!

The community mural will be available to paint at the first market of each month (August 1 and September 5). After the market season concludes, these panels will cover the boarded-up windows at 4209 Pearl Road to add vibrancy to the space. The panels are designed by Cori Richards.
