Insider Edition 95 | July 25, 2025 | | | | |
Hello Windsor!
As we reach the heart of summer, I want to take a moment to thank you for your continued support, engagement, and community spirit.
Summer is a vibrant time in Windsor —parks are full, local businesses are bustling, and the Town is alive with events and activities.
This time of year also brings important work behind the scenes. Our public works crews, parks team, and Windsor Police are all hard at work keeping our Town clean, safe, and running smoothly during the summer heat. Please join me in thanking them for their dedication.
Remember to stay hydrated, look out for your neighbors, and continue to take pride in the wonderful community we share.
Wishing you a safe and joyful mid-summer.

| | Did you know July is “Parks Makes Life Better” Month? At the July 16 Town Council meeting, it was proclaimed that July is “Parks Makes Life Better” Month, a time to recognize the vital role that Parks and Recreation plays in fostering a healthy and thriving community. | | | | |
From gathering at the Summer Nights on the Green concerts, to cheering for our sports teams in our community parks, to enjoying peaceful walks along our trails, let’s take a look at our parks… by the numbers:
· 19 parks spanning 110 acres around town
· 20 playground structures offering safe spaces for children to play and explore
· 5 pickleball courts and 4 tennis courts for friendly competition
· 7 pieces of fitness equipment at Starr Creek Park for fitness fun in the sun
· 8 basketball courts ready for three-pointers and neighborhood games
| | |
Our parks and their amenities are serviced by 10 full-time and 6 part-time dedicated maintenance workers who service the parks 7 days per week, 365 days per year. Here are some more impressive numbers behind the scenes that help keep Windsor’s parks clean and safe:
-
250 trash cans emptied weekly to keep our parks tidy and welcoming
-
Over 30 restrooms and porta potties serviced each week for your comfort and convenience
-
20,000 irrigation heads throughout our parks, delivering essential water to keep our grass and plants thriving
-
23 miles of streetscapes weeded, pruned, and cleared of litter
| Thanks to the hard work of our tireless Parks team and the support of our community, Windsor’s parks are beautiful, safe, and inviting spaces for everyone to enjoy. Whether you’re playing a game, attending a concert, or simply taking a peaceful stroll, our parks truly make life better—today and every day. | | |

Windsor Police Department.
This nationwide event promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live.

We hope to see you there!
