Current Youth Focus:

Lord's Prayer

We probably all know the Lord’s Prayer by heart already and even if you don’t have it memorized you have probably said it dozens of times. When we repeat something or hear something so much it can become very familiar, routine and automatic, but sometimes it begins to lose its punch and true meaning. Over these next 3 Wednesdays we are going to unpack and expand upon what the Lord’s Prayer truly means and how we can revive it’s true meaning for our individual lives and the mission that God uniquely gives each of us to live out in the world and to those around us.

Our goal is to answer these 2 questions:

  • What does the Lord’s Prayer tell me about how to daily lead my life?
  • How can I use the Lord’s Prayer not just as something we say on Sunday mornings but as something that can help me spread the love of Christ and to make a real impact on the people around me?

Costa Rica Summer Trip Opportunity!

HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH are being encouraged to consider attending the June 12th-19th Costa Rica Trip for summer of 2027!

CURRENT 11th & 12th grade Youth are eligible to attend this trip without a parent and any current 9th & 10th grade Youth are eligible to attend only if A PARENT GOES on the trip also.

IF YOU or YOUR YOUTH ARE INTERESTED, please plan to attend the Costa Rica Info Meeting on Sunday, October 18, 10:10am in the Gym to get more information regarding the details of this Summer Mission opportunity.

The purpose of this trip is to spread the love of Jesus alongside our Costa Rica brothers and sisters in Christ. This trip will be centered around building and improving the campus of the Methodist Children's Home near San Jose, as well as a local VBS at a nearby church, and one fun day! Many have taken the trip over the past ten years and experienced God in a meaningful way while using their time, talents, and energies for His Kingdom. If you're interested, it is vital that you attend this meeting to find out all of the necessary information! We can't wait to start planning for another year of using our energies to answer God's call in Costa Rica.

Phone-Free Space during Youth Events!

  • We are implementing a new plan to have a PHONE-FREE space during Youth Events.
  • This change is in effort to continue to foster a healthy environment where Youth can come to engage with one another, breakaway from their digital distractions and most importantly be expectant to experience God in a real way.
  • Please just have your Youth leave their phone in the car or at home. If they happen to bring their phone, we will provide a secure place for them to store them until they leave.

Wednesday Nights: 5:00-7:00pm

  • Every Wednesday during the school year we meet for an awesome time of hanging out, fellowship(FOOD!) and worship.
  • Come ready to get deeper in your relationship with Christ. This year we want to deepen our connection with God in real ways as we dive into topics such as Ambition, Compassion, Perseverance while also listening to the wisdom found in Scripture and by following the example of Christ.

Sunday School: 10:00-11:00am

  • Each Sunday, following the 9:00 Worship Service, Youth meet in the Youth Room for a time to check in with each other and deepen faith.
  • Sunday School is a great time where we engage in a more discussion based format following-up on what we've learned on Wednesday Nights. Often times we will split into smaller sub-groups (MS&HS, Girls&Boys) to hopefully have more in-depth and personal discussions.

Gym Jam: 11:00am-1:00pm

  • Takes place most Sundays after Sunday School. Come ready to move around and have fun as we play team and individual games/challenges!
  • Parents please have your Youth attend both the 9:00 worship service and Sunday School if they wish to participate in GymJam.

BRING A REUSABLE WATER BOTTLE.

  • We go through TOO MANY single-use cups each week. Please bring a water bottle to every Youth event so we can be respectful to our church resources and cut down on our single-use waste.
