Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

Last weekend we marked Commitment Weekend for the Together in Mission Annual Appeal. The theme this year is simple and powerful: “This Is the Hour for Love.”

We live in a time when many voices compete for our attention. There is anxiety. There is uncertainty. There is division. But the Church does not respond to the moment with fear. The Church responds with love.

And love, in the Gospel, is never abstract. Love feeds. Love teaches. Love repairs. Love sustains. Love shows up.

Together in Mission is how we show up — together.

Across our Archdiocese, there are parishes and schools that cannot meet their needs through Sunday collections alone. Families depend on tuition assistance so their children can receive a Catholic education. Parishes rely on support to remain open, to celebrate the Sacraments, to offer faith formation, youth ministry, OCIA, and pastoral care. Schools need safe classrooms and functioning facilities. Communities need parishes that are strong anchors of hope.

This is the hour to strengthen them.

Here at St. Paul the Apostle, we know the blessing of being part of something larger than ourselves. We are one Church. When one parish struggles, we respond. When one school needs support, we stand with them.

Our parish goal this year is $156,000. I am asking every household to participate in some way. It is not about equal gifts; it is about equal sacrifice. And remember, any funds raised above our goal are returned directly to our parish.

This is not simply an assessment. It is an act of communion. It is a concrete expression of love.

I endorse and give to Together in Mission because I have seen the difference it makes. It keeps parishes alive. It keeps schools open. It keeps faith accessible to families.

Below you will see QR code to make your gift. You can scan the code and make a one-time gift or a pledge over time. You may also fill out an envelope available in the Church and place it in the collection.

If you have already given, thank you!

Brothers and sisters, this is not a future moment. It is now.

This is the hour for love.

May our response be generous, faithful, and filled with hope. Helping parishes and schools is a great preparation to enter the Lenten Season.

Peace and blessings,

Father Gil
