A MESSAGE FROM THE SUPERINTENDENT

Fawzy Shemshack

Dear NFPS Community

Today marks more than just the first day of school, it marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for all of us at New Frontiers Public Schools. This morning, our Greg A. Garcia ECI campus was filled with the energy, joy, and hope that only the first day can bring. Watching our students walk through our doors eager, confident, and full of potential was an inspiring reminder of why we do this work.

And today, I’m thrilled to share even more good news: the Texas Education Agency has released its 2025 Accountability Ratings, and New Frontiers Public Schools has earned a B rating.

This is no small achievement. It reflects the determination of our students, the dedication of our teachers and staff, and the unwavering belief this community has in the power of education. It proves that when we set high expectations and support our students through every challenge, they rise to meet them- again and again.

As your new superintendent, I want to express my deepest gratitude. Thank you for welcoming me into this incredible community during a season of transition. I’m honored to be a part of the journey ahead as we deepen our partnership with School of Science and Technology (SST) and continue to build something exceptional together.

This rating is a moment to celebrate, but it’s also a launchpad. The real work is just beginning, and I have no doubt that, together, we will continue to raise the bar for what’s possible for our students. Next week, we take another important step forward as we welcome even more of our scholars back to campus, this time at Frank L. Madla and Imelda Davis Early College High Schools. These campuses represent the heart of our Early College mission, and I can’t wait to see the incredible things our students will achieve this year.

Here’s to a year of growth, of partnership, and of bold progress.

Sincerely,

Fawzy Shemshack, M.Ed.
