Message to Our Community:

Finding Strength in Unity

We stand in support of Israel, for the citizens, captives, and soldiers. In our prayers, we say: "May the Holy One, Blessed is He, preserve and rescue our fighters from every trouble and distress and from every plague and illness, and may He send blessing and success in their every endeavor."

Our hearts are there with them, echoing the words of R' Yehuda Halevi: 'Libi bamizrach va’ani b’sof ma’arav. My heart is in the East, but I am in the farthest West'

In these challenging times, it's important to recognize that we stand together as a resilient and supportive community. We understand the depth of grief and worry that many of us are experiencing, and we want you to know that you're not alone in this journey.

Our community is defined by our capacity for empathy and the unwavering support we offer one another. Practical empathy is our response. It's not just a sentiment; it's a powerful force translated into action. A kind word, a listening ear, or a helping hand are the instruments we use to uplift each other.

Our collective strength creates a network of understanding that goes beyond mere words. Reach out to offer help, support, or simply a safe space to be. If you find yourself in need, don't hesitate to reach out to others. Together, we will support one another in these difficult times.

Recent events have presented us with unimaginable atrocities, a level of evil that defies comprehension. In the face of such senselessness, it's natural to seek meaning, but we must also acknowledge that some things are beyond human comprehension.

Rejecting the unthinkable is an act of resilience. To protect our hearts and minds from the darkness, we must be diligent guardians. It's our responsibility to filter the information we expose ourselves to and shield our souls from trauma. Terrorists seek to terrorize, and we must not allow them to succeed in traumatizing us further.

Mindful selection of content, nurturing practices, and supportive conversations with friends can serve as our fortifications against the insidious reach of darkness.

In the fabric of our community, empathy serves as the thread that binds us, while self-care acts as the shield that guards our hearts. Together, we will navigate these excruciating times, stronger together and united as one.

Am Yisrael Chai!
