PSI Members Gather at

ReMA Summer Meeting

More than a dozen ReMA Paper Stock Industries (PSI) Chapter members turned out at the ReMA summer meeting, held June 29-July 1 at the Westin Book Cadillac Detroit. The gathering featured meetings of ReMA's committees, divisions and board of directors—including the Paper Division, which is led by PSI Chapter Vice President Ed Tucciarone of Graphic Packaging International. The meeting also offered an automotive-focused panel (pictured above) featuring executives from Ford Motor Co. and Toyota Motor Corp. Another session focused on fire safety, with the speaker noting that ReMA will be posting new fire safety guidance on its website, available to all recyclers. And per PSI tradition, PSI Chapter members gathered for a group dinner during the ReMA meeting, this time on the evening of June 29 at Sullivan’s Steakhouse in downtown Detroit.

Attendees at the PSI Chapter dinner at Sullivan’s Steakhouse included (front row, l to r) Shannon Gay of WM, Laura Davis of Midland Davis Corp., Marty Seaman of RRS, Rick Post of Pratt Industries, Justin Jungman of PADNOS, Emily Ham of International Paper as well as (back row, l to r) Lynn Mulder of Pratt Industries, Jim Keefe of Recycling Today Media Group, Tamara Mayberry of Pioneer Industries International, Kathy DeLano of Dixie Pulp & Paper Inc., Leonard Zeid of Midland Davis Brokerage Division, Matt Todd of RRS, Becky Reichenbach of Rumpke, Ed Tucciarone of Graphic Packaging International, and Natalie Betts of ReMA.

ReMA’s governance meetings—which the association holds quarterly—give all members an in-person opportunity to learn about the work ReMA is doing to benefit its members and the recycled materials industry in general. Members can hear the latest updates on key issues affecting the industry, potential challenges on the horizon and the internal happenings within ReMA. What’s more, the meetings offer an ideal forum for members to network with old and new industry colleagues alike.

There is no registration fee for members to attend the ReMA quarterly governance meetings. If you’re interested in getting more involved in your association, mark your calendar to attend the ReMA fall meeting, scheduled for Oct. 19-22 in Miami Beach, Florida. We hope to see you there!
