Welcome to fall – and October!

September was a very busy month with our travelers experiencing the world through a variety of journeys – each one creating special memories.

Not only did we host our “Feature Travel” tour group to the eastern U.S. to celebrate our nation’s 250th Birthday, but travelers also took advantage of our “As You Like It Travel” services to accomplish these individualized outstanding travel achievements:

  • Exploring the majestic Canadian Rockies
  • Riding the Great Rocky Mountaineer railroad
  • Journeying through red-rock formations aboard the Canyon Spirit train
  • Sailing the Upper Mississippi
  • Sailing in the Pacific Northwest
  • Exploring Maine on the coastal waters of Penobscot Bay on a small cruise ship
  • At this very moment - a group of friends is enjoying a trip of a lifetime on a photo safari in Kenya & Tanzania, East Africa

And, that’s just to mention a few.

PAULA'S "AS YOU LIKE IT TRAVEL"

PICK OF THE MONTH

SPOTLIGHT ON SOUTHEAST SEA ISLANDS

American Cruise Lines

This itinerary sails through bays, estuaries and canals, offering calm waters and scenic shoreline views.  Experience Victorian seaport charm, pirate history and coastal scenery with visits to the following ports:

  • Charleston, South Carolina – Antebellum architecture, cobblestone streets, and rich Revolutionary and Civil War history.
  • Beaufort, South Carolina – A picturesque town filled with historic homes, moss‑draped oaks, and Southern hospitality.
  • Hilton Head Island, South Carolina – Known for its pristine beaches, wildlife, and Lowcountry landscapes.
  • Savannah, Georgia – Famous for its historic squares, riverfront, and beautifully preserved 19th‑century architecture.
  • Jekyll Island, Georgia – Once the playground of America’s Gilded Age elite, now a peaceful island of beaches and maritime forests.
  • St. Simons Island, Georgia – Home to charming villages, historic sites, and the iconic lighthouse.
  • Amelia Island, Florida – A Victorian seaport with a colorful past, including pirate lore, stunning beaches, and a welcoming historic district.

U.S. river cruising is one of the most popular ways to explore America’s landscapes, history, culture and cuisine. Experience comfortable staterooms, upscale dining, daily excursions & more.

American Cruise Lines offers several itineraries on the rivers, intracoastal waterways, including Alaska. Specials change weekly. MY PONDERINGS ….

"Travels are memories made and shared

that are never forgotten!"

Four years ago – and again two years ago- Please Go Away™ travelers joined me on our annual Leaves, Lighthouses & Lobsters journey through the beautiful state of Maine.

From our oceanfront rooms at the Bar Harbor Inn, we awoke each morning watching the sun rise over Frenchman’s Bay, and listening to the sounds of lobster boats going out to check their traps.

We enjoyed the crisp autumn air and the camaraderie of our group.  One of my favorite states – these are some of my favorite memories made and shared that I'll never forget.

Your questions are always welcome. You will always receive prompt personal answers.

Until next month,

Paula
