PUBLIC REVIEW PERIOD OPEN FOR GSP PERIODIC EVALUATION

The Santa Clarita Valley Groundwater Sustainability Agency (SCV-GSA) invites SCV Water customers and other interested parties to review its Draft Periodic Evaluation for the Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP), which is now available for public review.

The 2026 Periodic Evaluation is a focused update, not a full rewrite of the GSP. Its primary purposes are to:

• Assess progress toward achieving and maintaining sustainable groundwater management
• Evaluate progress implementing the existing GSP
• Address Department of Water Resources’s Recommended Corrective Actions
• Clarify and refine certain elements of the GSP, based on improved data and experience gained during early implementation
• Provide opportunities for public input throughout the process

The Periodic Evaluation is intended to be a transparent, public process and will result in a document submitted to DWR following Board adoption.

Members of the public are encouraged to review the Draft Periodic Evaluation and provide public comment during the 45-day comment period running through October 25, 2026.

From operating and maintaining our water systems to engineering, conservation, customer service, field operations, and so much more, it takes a team of skilled and committed professionals to deliver safe, reliable water to our community. Much of this work happens behind the scenes, but its impact touches every home, business, and neighborhood we serve. We’re grateful for the knowledge, dedication, and care our team brings to this essential work.
