For immediate release
September 22, 2023

Mississauga, ON – The Canadian Golf Superintendents Association (CGSA) and the Quebec Golf Superintendents Association (QGSA) have agreed on a management contract that will see the CGSA conduct the administration of the QGSA.

CGSA will begin administrative services effective January 1, 2024 under the direction of the QGSA Board of Directors. Each association will maintain their autonomy as independent organizations however will share resources such as administrative talent and the CGSA’s new Association Management System. This agreement also includes the hiring of a new full-time staff position in Montreal to fulfill the QGSA Manager role and related responsibilities.

"The ASGQ is proud to announce its partnership with the Canadian Golf Superintendents Association. The CGSA will assume the administrative management of the ASGQ. A resource will be hired specifically for our association, which will enable us to improve our service to members, develop new partnerships, provide ongoing training specific to Quebec golf superintendents and create networking events. This networking has always been the strength of our association. The synergy created will, I'm sure, enable our profession to grow." Jean-René Lessard, QGSA President

“I thank the QGSA Board of Directors for their foresight and enthusiasm to have the CGSA become their partner and to handle the administration of their association. We believe that this alignment will bring our industry closer together and provide more efficient and cost-effective services for the benefit of all members,” said CGSA President, Dustin Zdan, AGS.

This agreement compliments the same CGSA management partnerships already in place with the Manitoba Golf Superintendents Association and the British Columbia Golf Superintendents Association.
