Wits Workouts are Back!

Wits Workouts are returning to Deerfield Township! Claire Morris with the Warren County OSU Extension will lead you in fun brain games and share useful tips to help keep your mind sharp. This 4 week program will kickoff on Wednesday, September 2, at the Kingswood Activity Center from 10 to 11 a.m. This is a fun and social way to exercise your brain and meet new people. This program provides adults with a great opportunity to engage in brain-teasing activities while socializing with others in the community.

You can register for Wits Workouts online at DeerfieldRec.com. No worries if you forget—you're still welcome to join in the fun!

Wreaths Across America

This holiday season, help us make sure the veterans laid to rest at Rose Hill Cemetery are remembered and honored. In partnership with the City of Mason, Deerfield Township is proud to participate in the Wreaths Across America program. Community members can purchase a holiday wreath to be placed on the grave of a local veteran. Each wreath is a meaningful symbol of gratitude for the men and women who served our country and made sacrifices to protect the freedoms we enjoy today.

There are over 1,750 veterans laid to rest in Rose Hill. Consider purchasing a wreath in honor or memory of a veteran in your life—or simply as a way to show your appreciation for the veterans in our community. Purchase your wreath today and help us ensure that no veteran is forgotten.

Also, mark your calendar for the wreath laying ceremony taking place at 12:00 pm on December 19 at Rose Hill Cemetery. You will not want to miss this moving ceremony and chance to honor our local heroes.

We are looking for teen volunteers to help at our Touch A Truck event on Saturday, September 12, from 9:30 AM–1:30 PM at Deerfield Towne Center. Volunteers will help run games and crafts, hand out swag, and assist staff throughout the day. This is a fun way to get those community service hours!
