IMPORTANT! Registration for the

2024-2025 Academic School Year

(All forms Due by May 31, 2024.)

On Wednesday, May 1, 2024, you will receive an email from mratsamy@imsa.edu with important information about the required annual registration forms for returning students for the 2024-2025 academic school year.

All nine required annual registration forms are available in PowerSchool. Parents must log into their PowerSchool account to complete ALL forms, including the Emergency, Insurance, and Medical Information form.
Due to changes that may have occurred over the year, the Emergency, Insurance, and Medical Information form must be reviewed and re-submitted (even if it shows submitted).
Students can not complete the annual registration forms because only parents have access. ALL entry dates on each form should be May 1, 2024, or after, and each form must show as SUBMITTED.
To avoid the $50 late fee, all registration forms must be completed and submitted by May 31, 2024.

Class of 2024

The school counseling department will be hosting its annual STEP (Senior Transition Educational Program) on May 22 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. This program is mandatory for all seniors. Students who do not attend will not be allowed to attend IMSA's Six Flags of Great America Trip. The event will include a class of 2023 panel, a financial wellness workshop, and SWAG for Seniors!!

Student Leadership Exchange (SLX)

The Leadership Education and Development (LEAD) program wrapped up its year with the 11th Annual Student Leadership Exchange on Wednesday, April 24, 2024. The Class of 2026 presented projects rooted in the United Nations Sustainable Development Group Goals and had the opportunity to receive feedback and network with many external guests. Student abstracts and presentations can be found here once uploaded. Students also had the opportunity to listen to the Bernard C. Hollister Memorial Lecture in remembrance of Dr. Bernie Hollister, a charter faculty member in 1986 who worked in the social science and history team at the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy. This year's speaker was Dr. Joshua Fredenburg, an internationally acclaimed speaker who spoke to the Class of 26 about creating a leadership legacy that continues to have a lasting impact.

LEAD

Class of 2026's last LEAD module will be Thursday, May 2, 2024, from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Students should come prepared to debrief the Student Leadership Exchange and their LEAD experience!

Medications

Refills

As we near the end of the year, when sending refills, please send only enough medication needed to complete the school year.

End-of-school-year medication pick-up

Students who have medications in the health office must give the health office 24 hours' notice of when they will be moving out at the end of the year.

All medications must be given to the parent or guardian. For more information or to report a move-out date, call 630-907-5008 or email nurse@imsa.edu.

Vaccination Requirement for 12th Grade

The Illinois Department of Public Health requires that all students entering 12th grade have two doses of meningococcal conjugate vaccine, with the second dose administered on or after the child’s 16th birthday and at least eight weeks after the first dose. Please submit an updated immunization record or use this form for documentation before August 1, 2024.

Students and Parents

Hey, Class of 2024! Please remember to be vigilant in logging your service learning hours into Helper Helper and then following up to make sure they are fully approved. Data transfers and email blasts will be sent out monthly until graduation. As a reminder, students who do not complete the graduation requirement for service learning, as stated here, will not receive their final transcripts until they have done so and may also be removed from other end-of-year senior activities All hours must be submitted and fully approved (present in PowerSchool) by May 21, 2024.
