Why Should I Stretch with a Professional?

Assisted stretching or stretching with the help of a skilled practitioner allows you to address targeted areas to ensure you are getting a greater stretch than what you would be able to achieve solo. This is a wonderful way to improve joint health and flexibility. A stretch therapist will be able to assess your range of motion and then create a plan to help improve your overall well-being.

An assisted stretching session allows your muscles and body time to relax. When stretching unassisted we can tend to rush ourselves or put it off until tomorrow. Scheduling an assisted stretching session allows for a 30-60 minute window of time focused solely on what your body needs, without the outside influences of the world around you. Your stretch therapist will work with your muscles while letting you focus on time to breathe.


Increase Flexibility and Range of Motion

Stretching regularly helps with increased flexibility and assisted stretching can help target muscles for a deeper stretch to allow for increased tissue elasticity and improved joint mobility. A skilled stretch therapist will be able to help you safely extend your muscles further than you would on your own, using techniques to reprogram the signals between your muscles and your brain. Partner-assisted stretching allows your therapist to isolate specific muscles by stabilizing different parts of your body.

Partner-assisted stretching helps combat all the daily wear and tear we place on our muscles and joints. Just one assisted stretching session can leave your body feeling more limber by helping to loosen those tight muscles.
