SPOTLIGHT ON SUPPORT: THE TRIAD PROGRAM

The Triad Program is a powerful partnership between law enforcement, community agencies, and older adults designed to enhance safety, reduce crime, and build trust. Established in 1988, Triad has grown nationwide, with programs in Hampden and Hampshire Counties that provide education on scams and elder abuse, daily reassurance calls, home safety checks, and innovative services like Project Lifesaver for individuals at risk of wandering.

These initiatives not only protect older adults from crime but also reduce fear, strengthen community connections, and open doors to vital resources. From youth-led technology support to home safety inspections, Triad demonstrates what’s possible when collaboration and compassion lead the way.
