The Fall 2024 rECguide now available at www.el-cerrito.org/recguide!


Registration for fall programs will begin at 9am on Tuesday, July 30 for El Cerrito Residents, and on Wednesday, July 31 for Non-Residents.


All registration is taken online at www.el-cerrito.org/onlinereg. Please make sure your log-in works, and all your family members birth dates are listed prior to registration.


Scholarships are also available! Families are eligible to receive up to $300 per child up to twice a year. More information on scholarships can be found at www.el-cerrito.org/scholarship.

OPT IN TO TEXTS

Want to make sure you receive urgent messages from the El Cerrito Recreation Department? Our registration site offers the option to opt into text messaging that will be sent only in urgent or emergency situations (such as last-minute closures or program cancellations).



Subscribe to alerts at www.el-cerrito.org/onlinereg. Click on your name in the top right corner and select "Text Opt In/Out" (under "Update") and follow prompts on the screen.

GIFT CARDS

Give the gift of fun! Purchase a gift certificate for family or friends (or yourself!) to use toward any program or activity offered by the El Cerrito Recreation Department. There are a variety of classes and activities for all ages for your loved ones to choose from. Gift cards can also be used toward rentals and special events.

Join Our Team

Looking for a position that provides the opportunity to do impactful and meaningful work helping children learn and explore in engaging and interesting environments? Consider a job as a Childcare Aide or Childcare Teacher. Staff in these roles work primarily in the Afterschool programs of the local elementary schools Fairmont, Madera and Harding, providing afterschool activities, snack, and homework assistance. Hiring at all levels – youth work “rookies” to experienced teachers! Shifts available: 1:30-6:00pm Monday-Friday. Must be 18+ years or older. Visit www.el-cerrito.org/jobs to apply.

The Swim Center will be hiring fall Lifeguards and Swim Instructors! Hours available for all types of schedules, including weekends and after school. Train-to-hire, no need to be certified before applying. Must be able to pass an in-water assessment of swimming skills and an oral interview. To apply:

- Must be 15 years of age or older

- Must be able to pass in-water assessment including 500-yard swim, 2 minutes treading water with no hands, and retrieving a 10lb brick from 13 feet of water
