This is the week to give from your hearts

North Texas Giving Day (NTGD) is here and Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue needs YOU!

NTGD is an online event that encourages people to support local nonprofits and causes that are meaningful to them. The event is hosted by the Communities Foundation of Texas and while the "main event" takes place over a span of 18 hours on Thursday, Sept. 19, early giving is available now.

Where are they now?

Do you remember Angie Diane? She was a swimmer pup who was surrendered to us at 4 months old. Unfortunately, her previous owners must have thought her legs would "fix themselves." The poor girl couldn't even stand and her back legs actually turned upward.

After several surgeries and hours and hours and hours of therapy, Angie Diane was adopted by her foster foster because they were all a perfect fit.

Angie Diane writes: Everyone, I ~ the Duchess of Foster Failure ~ just turned 3 years old! Can you believe it? I’m still getting around pretty well, as long as I'm wearing my booties. My spirit is fierce and happiness runs through my veins. I wouldn’t be here today without the help of rescue and all our incredible supporters. Thank you for all that you do!

Who will win the basket of riches?

Just imagine winning this lotto scratch-off prize package! While its face value is $300, it could include a "GOLDEN" ticket. We'd like to think of it as a fast-track to retirement package or perhaps the Bulldog sanctuary package. C'mon, let us dream! You can get your tickets from a Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue volunteer or you can Zelle us your donation via 214-244-5391. IMPORTANT: Please email us if you're paying by Zelle because we'll need your phone number to add to the tickets.

Vendor spaces are still available

Come join us at Bull-O-Ween to pitch your goods and services to a massive group of Bulldog lovers! Spaces are only $50. All funds raised from the event will help us pay our foster dogs' vet bills, so you can't go wrong! Email us for more details.

Time for a little bark 'n' roll

Our friend Chris Marsh is putting together a fantastic evening for us and you'll want to join us for this fun rescue fundraiser!

We'll start off the evening with a Bulldog gathering (from 5 to 7 p.m.) so you all can meet some of our awesome foster dogs.

Then, we'll crank up the bands!

Chris is also planning to do a raffle, a 50/50 raffle, a costume contest, etc., to help keep the fun (and fundraising) going all night.

You won't want to miss out on this raffle table, special thanks to the following donors:

Frisco Roughriders, Acre Whiskey Distillery, Ghoultown, Record Town, Cidercade, Graffiti Pasta, County Line Records, Trinity River Distillery, Beth Marie's Soda Fountain, Bullhug, Skydives Spaceland, Dark Age Tattoo, Castro Luengas Ink, Scary Good Coffee, Texas Ballet Theater, 1611 Golf Club, Big Laugh Comedy Club, Dallas Comedy Club, Raising Cane's, Artist Ricky Langley, Ripley's Believe It or Not, The Classic Cafe, Cinepolis, Coyote Drive-In, Dallas Symphony, Handmade 4 Good, Lane Frost Foundation, Avoca Roasters, Lockwood Distillery and more!

We're also thrilled to share that Dawn White of CBS News Texas will be assisting with special emcee duties.

Be sure to RSVP on our Facebook event page as we'll be posting more updates as we get closer to event. Our heartfelt thanks to Chris for helping to coordinate this to help our doggos. Let's rock for the Bulldogs!

Doughnut miss out

We're gearing up for a special fundraiser with Krispy Kreme during the month of November. Click here to be notified when the "pastries for paws" online event goes live. You'll be able to snag some dozens for you and your favorite friends, all while raising dough for our foster dogs.

Cheesy does it

On November 3, we'll be visiting Campisi's in Rockwall for a Pizza Paw-ty and we hope you can swing by for a quick bite. We're inviting our foster families, so some foster dogs may be in attendance, too.

Many thanks to our friends at Campisi's for hosting this gathering for us! RSVP here.

Helping hands needed

We are in dire need of more foster families in the Dallas/Fort Worth area! We'd love to find some helping hands who can fill in when are other foster families are out of town. The time you give will be brief, but the difference you make will be everlasting. Message us to learn how to apply and join our lifesaving team!

High five to you

We're so thankful for everyone's good wishes and donations for Judi Jubilee and her puppies. The six little nuggets will celebrate their one-month milestone on North Texas Giving Day!

Foster momma Naomi has been a godsend for this family, giving them 24/7 care and nonstop love. She's given us continuous updates, including photos and videos, which we've been sharing with our supporters via our Facebook page.

Let's introduce you to some of

our other foster dogs

If you are interested in adoption, you must first fill out an adoption application, which can be found on our website. The application lets us know what you're looking for and if you are approved, we can help determine which one of our dogs may work best for your family.

LIVE. LOVE. RESCUE.

Hundreds of Bulldogs are lost, abandoned, taken to animal shelters, or surrendered to rescue every year. Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue accepts Bulldogs whose owners can no longer keep them, and retrieves Bulldogs from shelters and undesirable situations. Our Bulldogs are placed in suitable homes as soon as reasonably possible.
