It's a challenging time for everyone and is for us at The Freedom Cafe as well. Not only does our cafe serve as a platform for sharing our mission, it also helps to fund and sustain our staff and educational programing. While our mission does not directly address essential services for the COVID-19 response,
human trafficking will not stop for the virus.
Have you considered that staying in place can be difficult for those in comfortable homes and relationships, but for those in already abusive situations there is even greater risk for sever exploitation. And in our global supply chains further exploitation is already being reported. The United States Commission on International Religious Freedom recently shared that the Uighur Muslims population, a group already facing extreme repression in China, is reportedly being
"forced to continue working in Wuhan factories during the city's quarantine, despite the high risk of contracting the disease."
Not only do we want to continue to provide training and prevention education during this time, but we also want to be prepared to resume our full schedule of advocate training when it is responsible to do so. That being said, we are asking you, our community to support The Freedom Cafe in small ways over the coming weeks.
Here’s are some things you can do to help sustain our work during this time:
2 - Stay caffeinated at home while supporting our programs:
3 -

Ways to Stay Connected, Caffeinated & Support our Mission During Covid-19
4 - Continue to journey with us online.
- Virtual Perform for Freedom events begin Wednesday April 1, 7pm
- Coming Soon, Netflix Watch Parties & Online Advocate Training
To be clear, The Freedom Cafe is closed to guests, however, we do have a pick up location at the side entrance to our building for those comfortable picking up online orders. The door to that section of the building is open 24/7. Door handles are sanitized daily and do not need to be touched to leave the space. We are also happy to ship your order.
Here's to hoping we can capture some of the joy and energy of our weekly events in the cafe online, sustain our core program and brighten everyones weeks a little along the way,
Bryan & The Freedom Cafe Board
