PROGRAM SPOTLIGHT
Kids Exploring Fun! This Saturday, May 28 9-10 a.m. ET
Kids Exploring Fun is back on Saturday, May 28 from 9-10 a.m. ET on Zoom as part of the Second and Fourth Saturday of the month schedule. This weekend, we will be hosting the social group, where we will help our kids build confidence to make friends and interact with each other socially. All children aged 3-12 are invited, as long as they remember to bring a smile!

As a reminder, Kids Exploring Fun takes place twice a month. One session is a social group for building connections within our community, while the other session features crafts, games, activities, and more! We usually partner with organizations like Big Blue Canopy, ABC Pediatric Therapy, Ensemble Theatre, and more to facilitate these fun programs and to bring in new ideas and activities! To keep up with the latest program updates and topics, make sure to register for this weekend’s program by clicking the button below, and we will keep you in the loop about upcoming program meetings!

COMMUNITY CORNER
Cincinnati Art Museum Sensory Saturday is this Saturday!
Join the Cincinnati Art Museum for a socially distanced Sensory Saturday, designed for families with children who have developmental disabilities. This program will begin before public hours, so families can enjoy a less crowded environment if they wish to do so.
As families enter, they will receive a map that designates galleries with learning centers with instructions on the back. Each family or child will borrow a bag with hands on materials, using it to engage with art in the galleries. When visitors are finished with the supplies, they return the bags to a bin marked “used” materials. You can learn more about the program online!

Registration is not required, you can just show up on Saturday, May 28 at 9:30-11:30 a.m. ET to participate! Families are welcome to participate in the pre-determined learning centers or to wander the galleries at their leisure.

Because of ever changing museum policies related to COVID 19, please visit https://cincinnatiartmuseum.org/visit for up to date information to prepare for your visit. If you need accessibility accommodations for this program or event, please email access@cincyart.org. Please contact at least two weeks in advance to ensure accommodations can be made.
Cincinnati Children’s DDBP: Using Visual Supports to Improve Behavior & Compliance Seminar
Join the Department of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital for a class on understanding ways to tailor visual supports based on your child's developmental level. Join other families to learn how to use visual supports for increased behavioral success, decreased anxiety about expectations and routines, and increased independence in different settings. This seminar takes place on Friday, June 3, 2022, at 12-1 p.m. ET via Zoom.

Registration is required, and admission is $10 per family via the Seminar’s Eventbrite page. For more information, contact DDBPFamilySupport@cchmc.org or call 513-636-2158.
