A Message from the VP

Good Morning,

Cincinnati Metropolitan Housing Authority is doing business in a different way. Did you know you can request a Saturday inspection? Simply email HCVinspectionrequest@cintimha.com with proposed dates and times and the Inspection team will work to accommodate your request. The Housing Choice Voucher Program recently switched to digital submissions of the Leases & Contracts. You can get a better understanding of how the process works at hour Ask the Expert sessions on June 24, 2026. There will be an in-person session and a virtual session. Full details are available on our website calendar.

CMHA is committed to continuously improving services for our partners and program participants. Beginning July 1, 2026, the HCV Administrative Office will introduce automated, visitor-friendly virtual receptionist kiosks in the front lobby. These kiosks are designed to enhance customer service and streamline visitor assistance while maintaining access to CMHA staff. The kiosks are easy to use, will not replace human interaction, and will not affect the quality of service provided. Clients will have an opportunity to view and become familiar with the kiosks during demonstrations scheduled in July. Dates will be announced soon.

In addition, CMHA is implementing a new process to expedite initial inspections following approval of a Request for Tenancy Approval (RTA). Rather than waiting to coordinate scheduling with the owner or property manager before setting an appointment, CMHA will schedule the inspection and provide notification of the date and time. This change is intended to reduce delays, complete inspections more quickly, and help families move into housing sooner. Owners and property managers will continue to have the option to contact CMHA to reschedule if the assigned appointment time is not feasible.

The Partner Appreciation Banquet was a success, nearly 500 people were in attendance for the event. It was great connecting with many of you that evening. Congratulations to our door prize winners, seven of them won $100 gift cards to Home Depot or Lowe’s. If you could not attend there are a few photos from the event below. Families in need of one to six bedroom housing units. CMHA appreciates you referring new property owners to our program. A video highlighting the benefits for owners working with the program is available, click here to watch and share it.

Please make sure that you have an updated W9 on file with the agency to avoid a delay in receiving your Housing Assistance Payment (HAP) from CMHA.
