First Year Experience Brand

Week 1 : Introduction to FYE

Hey all!

In case you missed your Peer Mentor's email last week, First Year Experience (FYE) would like to warmly welcome you to UC Davis. We are here to support your transition to college in any way that we can. Each residential building, identity-based LLC, the Green, and Orchard Park has their very own Peer Mentor.

Your Peer Mentor is available through weekly drop-in hours and email to answer any questions about college life including:

  • Academics
  • Campus Involvement
  • Campus Resources
  • General Tips

FYE hosts first-year programs in the residential buildings. These programs offer free incentives such as activities, prizes, and snacks. During these programs, peer mentors present on helpful topics such as:

  • Growth Mindset
  • Engaging with Faculty
  • Student Challenges

FYE also offers quiet study spaces in the Residential Academic Centers (RACs) in each of the first-year areas: Segundo, Tercero, and Cuarto. The RACs also have reservable study offices and Peer Mentors that hang out to answer your questions.

Lastly, don't forget to follow us on Instagram (@ucdavisnsp) for the latest updates on programs and events.
