A Semester Full of God’s Faithfulness
Dear MSU FCA Family,
As we close out another powerful semester, we can’t help but stand in awe of all that God has done in and through our ministry. From life-giving relationships to moments of deep transformation, this season has been marked by God’s unmistakable presence and provision.
One of the highlights of the semester was our College Getaway weekend, where 25 of our MSU athletes gathered with athletes across the state of Mississippi to worship, rest, and reconnect with the Lord. Bethany and I had the great honor of being the main speakers for the weekend where we had the opportunity to teach on intimacy with the Father, Son, and Spirit, and also about God's great love for us. Worship led by Jeremiah, Shay, Mary Ashley, and Darius created space for honest moments with Jesus, and our MSU FCA group time afterward was one of the most impactful we’ve had—students opening up, praying together, and building each other up before heading back to Starkville.
Our student leadership team continued to grow in faith and boldness. Monthly we met to encourage one another, pray, and be equipped to serve, as well as many times one-on-one throughout the semester. We’ve long prayed for our leaders to take ownership of sharing their stories and faith, and this semester we saw that prayer answered. Whether through conversations with young athletes at local sport fields, in our weekly campus huddle, or at Dudy Noble during our worship night, our leaders stepped out in courage—and it made a difference.
The semester ended on a high note with our Legacy Luncheon. We were honored to have FCA President Shane Williamson and volleyball player Payton Woods join us. Payton’s story of transformation was powerful, reminding us why we do what we do. Watching alumni, donors, families, and students gather to celebrate the mission of FCA was a gift. We are so thankful for every single donation of time, talent, and treasure to pull of the Legacy Luncheon and make it a day we will always remember.
Of course, transitions are part of every season. We said goodbye to several of our student leaders—some graduating, others transferring—but we’re incredibly grateful for the time we had with each of them. Their impact will last far beyond their time here.
We are thankful for our football chaplain Scott Nicholson as he continues to serve faithfully with the football team, and we’re thrilled to announce that Brandi Morgan will be joining our female staff this fall. We are excited to see how God makes room for Jason Stoker and Darius Brown to serve in their respective areas of ministry. We believe God is preparing the way for even greater impact in the coming year.
We’re thankful, expectant, and ready for all that God has next. Thank you for praying, supporting, and walking with us. This is His story—and we’re so grateful to be part of it.
