Cocoa Beach Expansion Projects

Downtown Cocoa Beach is undergoing major growth, with TWO new food halls and two new luxury resorts being built.

The Mercado Food Hall:

The Mercado will be a massive 27,000 square feet entertainment complex with a Food hall featuring 12 restaurants, a brewery, a rooftop bar & covered courtyard for events.

Slated for completion by fall 2025.

The venue will create 150 jobs and revitalize a long-vacant lot near Lori Wilson Park.

The developer plans to include 100-150 parking spaces to address parking overflow.

Destination Downtown Food Hall:

This is another food hall that will be located in the heart of Downtown Cocoa Beach near Minutemen Causeway.

Destination Downtown Food Hall will replace the former Yen Yen restaurant. The one-story building will have both indoor and outdoor seating.

Scheduled to open next year in 2025.

It will be a 5,000-square-foot space that features seven vendors, offering options from Chinese to American to desserts, and a bar serving wine and craft beer for a family-friendly environment.

With future possibility of a second floor expansion!

New $300 Million Westin Resort:

The International Palms hotel in Cocoa Beach is being demolished to make way for a new $300 million Westin resort.

The new Westin resort will have 502 rooms and will be a major upgrade to the property.

The resort is expected to increase tourism dollars and tax revenue for the city, and will include a conference center, tennis courts, a wave pool, and other amenities.

Stina House Hotel luxury boutique:

At the site of the old Glass Bank Building, which was deteriorating and demolished back in 2015, a local businesswoman saw the vacant lot as a perfect spot for a new boutique hotel.

The $20-$25 million hotel will feature a park-like atmosphere with shops, cafes, and green space for pets.

Stina House aims to complement the ongoing revitalization of the area while preserving Cocoa Beach's surf town character.

The new hotel will be called Stina House and is a six-story hotel with extended-stay suites that cater to visitors who want more than a traditional hotel room.

“That’s what I would want as a resident of Cocoa Beach. Beautiful park-like atmosphere, interesting shops and coffeeshops and lighting and fountains and places for my dog to play in the grass” said Rosalie Bianco who is the developer of the project.

Key Takeaway:

Cocoa Beach is booming with new development, bringing exciting amenities and raising property values. Just like the rest of Brevard county, Cocoa Beach has exciting growth plans that will improve our town. I would be honored to help you navigate the ever-growing Brevard County real estate market. Call me today!
