Dear Father, Abba, Creator of all human and non-human life,
You have given us direction by inspiring disciples
to write scripture.
We thank you for allowing us to doubt.
We pray that you give us the power to be a difference
in our environment,
So that we can, by listening, ease our doubts.
In Jesus Name,
Amen

Loving God, you who gave us this beautiful world
and listen to our prayers;
We Thank you for communicating with us your people.
We pray that we learn to trust in your guidance and equip us to
resist violence and slavery, so that we can worship
and live in an environment in which you would be happy to reside.
In Jesus Name,
Amen

Karis’ Stewardship Speech 11/2/2025
Good morning, I’m Karis Bufford Ford!
When I think about what St. Paul’s Episcopal Church means to me, I realize that it’s not just a place I go on Sundays—it’s truly been a part of my whole life. I’ve been here since birth, and some of my very first memories are right here in this sanctuary.
When I was a baby, I was held in these very pews during services—surrounded by the sounds of hymns, prayers, and a community that already loved and supported me. As I got a little older, I moved to the nursery, where I first learned that church was a place of kindness and joy.
Then came Sunday school, where I started to really understand the stories of our faith and what it means to live as part of a Christian community. Those lessons—and the teachers who gave their time and care—helped shape who I am today.
Now, as I serve as an acolyte, I’ve found a new way to connect with God and with this church family. Standing at the altar, helping in worship, I see how all the pieces fit together—the prayers, the readings, the music, the people—and I feel grateful to be part of something bigger than myself.
St. Paul’s has always been more than a building to me. It’s been my spiritual home, my extended family, and a constant reminder of God’s presence throughout every stage of my life. As we enter stewardship month, let’s all consider how we can share our time, talents, and treasure to ensure St. Paul’s is here for generations to come!
