Women Build

Build Your Own Mini Greenhouse!

This November, our Women Build class will guide participants through the construction of a DIY Mini Greenhouse—a fun and practical project perfect for plant lovers and makers alike.

This hands-on workshop is designed to be friendly, collaborative, and beginner-friendly. Together we will assemble a 2'x2' mini green house, which will accommodate two standard seed starting trays. You’ll learn useful building skills and take your project home to finish and enjoy.

Your registration fee covers all materials—just bring your curiosity and creativity!

Space is limited, so reserve your spot today.

Volunteer Spotlight: Cory

Cory first volunteered with Cedar Valley Habitat for Humanity in 2022 during a panel build sponsored by his employer. Though he hadn’t been familiar with Habitat’s mission before, that hands-on experience made a lasting impression. Since then, he’s been an active volunteer and now serves on our Board of Directors as Secretary.

"I enjoy volunteering with Habitat because it gives me the opportunity to make a tangible difference in people's lives. There's something deeply rewarding about seeing the direct impact of your effort - a wall you help build as the home takes shape and the family receives the benefit of a safe and stable place to call their own. For me, it's not just about building the houses, but about building hope for the families."

If you would like to donate your time and talent by volunteering with Habitat, please contact Kelly Murphy at kelly.murphy@cvhabitat.org or 319.366.4485, ext. 104.
