Members of the Edgecombe Community College Board of Trustees and ECC President Dr. Greg McLeod recently attended the National Legislative Summit in Washington, D.C. Held Feb. 8–11, the event brought more than 1,000 community college leaders to the U.S. Capitol to discuss federal policy issues affecting institutions nationwide. Attendees also took part in Advocacy Leadership and New Trustee academies to strengthen their effectiveness in their roles.

Humility, dedication, reliability and tenacity are just a few words used to describe the late Gregory Thomas Horne Sr.

“Wherever he saw a need, he didn’t ask questions, he just fulfilled that need,” said his widow, Teresa Everett Horne. Gregory Horne’s generosity and his love for Edgecombe Community College led EndTime Harvest Outreach Ministries, family, friends and Teresa Everett Horne to establish an endowed scholarship in his honor at his alma mater.

Edgecombe Community College announces its participation in the UnitedHealthcare Future Leaders in Health Scholarship Program. This is a new initiative aimed at training the next generation of rural healthcare professionals.
