Good evening! Caitlin with you here today.
It's snowing out! I spent most of last week in southern Maine with my family where it was 40-50 degrees and sunny most days. Coming back to the Adirondacks covered in snow was a bit of a jolt to the system, but after almost a week back home I'm slowly slipping into the winter rhythm.
When it gets dark so early, there is something very hopeful about the snowfall. It makes this time of year much more festive. And there's something so special about being able to get out on cross country or downhill skis so early in the season.
I hope you're also able to get out and enjoy the fresh snow—to hear the winter wind through the spruce and fir trees, to feel it across your face and rosy your cheeks, to take a deep breath and sit in the silence and wonder of it all. Until next time, here's the news —
