Recap of "Capitol Conversations" as we prepare to ADVOCATE in 2025!
First Week HOUSE Spotlight
House Health Care Facilities &
Systems Committee
Take away: the Chairman is holding state agencies accountable for implementing legislation, especially projects that could help those most needy in our state.
Even if you don't provide home health services to medically fragile kids or do rapid whole genome sequencing, this committee was a win for patients and providers.
Parents, caregivers and providers testified on projects funded by the legislature but yet to reach expected implementation milestones. Their testimony included red tape barriers that have prevented the programs from working as expected.
We look forward to Chair Anderson's leadership this Session because clearly he has a passion for cutting through barriers managed care companies create that negatively impact the delivery of health care in Florida.
