We're now less than two months away for the annual Arcade for Legal Aid event on Wednesday, April 16th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Barcade at Highline Pizza Lounge in Chicago. This event, which is organized by our Young Professionals Board, is a great way to join the PILI community in supporting our work while having fun. Tickets are on sale now and sponsorships are also still available. We hope to see you there!

• First Program in 2025 Virtual Pro Bono CLE Series Announced. Join us for our free statewide virtual Pro Bono CLE Series to learn about timely pro bono legal topics. Our first session is on March 12th from noon to 1:00 p.m. on Limited Scope & Guardianship. Additional sessions will be added soon and continue throughout 2025. Attendees are asked to make a small pro bono commitment in return for the free CLE. Learn more and register »

• PILI is Hiring a Program Associate. This is a full-time hybrid position based in Chicago. The position will be part of PILI’s Programs Team and will work under the supervision of the Senior Managing Attorney in coordination with all staff members to support PILI’s Programs. Learn more »

• Meet the PILI Spring Semester Law Student Interns. 11 PILI Law Student Interns have been placed at nine public interest law organizations this semester. Collectively, they will provide 2,200 hours of legal services throughout the semester. PILI also designates a number of Named and Honorary Interns each year, thanks to special funding commitments made by individual and organizational champions for public interest law. Read more »

• Calling All Law Firms, Corporations, Law Schools & Bar Associations! PILI is looking for hosts for Illinois Free Legal Answers clinics in 2025. Clinics are a great way to introduce volunteers to Illinois Free Legal Answers and provide a team environment to answer civil legal questions for those in need of help. This is also a great partnership opportunity for these groups to come together for a joint clinic. Learn more »
