Every ten years, public high schools go through the Decennial Accreditation visit from the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEAS&C). Billerica Memorial went through their last accreditation visit in 2013. Our next Decennial visit is scheduled for October 2026. The delay is due to the pandemic. Prior to the Decennial visit, NEASC sends a Collaborative Visiting team to review the school's progress prior to the final visit in two years. The Collaborative Visiting team will be at BMHS on Tuesday, October 15 and Wednesday, October 16. The team will be visiting classrooms, speaking with students, teachers, parents and our Central Administration team. Upon their departure they will be sharing their initial feedback in preparation of their return in 2026.

While we were disappointed to have to make difficult decisions around the school budget last year, which involved some reductions, we want to remind you of the necessary changes that have an impact on the high school this year. Unfortunately, our late buses which were a helpful resource last year, will not be running this year.
Despite this change we are pleased to continue offering after school clubs and tutoring, which provide opportunities for students to explore their interests and receive additional support.

Important Dates for the Class of 2025
The recent experience of the BMHS Peer Leaders at Team Works in Acton exemplifies their unwavering commitment to fostering teamwork, personal growth, and the values of inclusivity and kindness among our students. Engaging in both physical and mental team-building activities, these remarkable students not only showcased exemplary collaboration skills but also received high praise from the staff, who noted that this was the best group they have ever had. Their impressive participation and genuine kindness towards one another reflect the supportive learning environment we strive to create at BMHS.
Billerica Girls' Volleyball hosted their annual breast cancer awareness fundraiser this past Friday night against Woburn HS. The team kept their undefeated season intact while raising money to support breast cancer research. The team defeated Woburn 3-1 and remain the #2 team in the MIAA Power Rankings for Division 2.
Under the beautiful evening sky, our Girls' Soccer team showcased not just their athletic prowess but also a heartwarming message about the importance of mental health during their match against Chelmsford HS on Thursday night. Led by our inspiring seniors, Sara MacLeod #27 and Giovanna Gulinello #28, the team displayed remarkable dedication and sportsmanship, making every moment on the pitch count. While the game ended in a 1-1 tie, the true victory was in their unwavering teamwork and spirit, reminding us that it’s not just about the score but also about supporting one another and reminding everyone that our mental health is as important as our physical.

Welcome Back to our returning students and families! For our new students and families, a quick overview of how we communicate on a daily and weekly basis. Most of our communication occurs directly through our App (additional information can be found below). We have three main calendar feeds for BMHS: School, Athletics, and Fine Arts. Each Sunday evening around 8:00 p.m., the App will send out a notification that shares everything happening at BMHS for the upcoming week. The newsletter will also be sent out on Sunday evenings, typically between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. (depending upon when the Patriots game is being played). The App will also send out a daily notification (Monday - Friday) at 6:00 a.m. that provides the daily bell schedule (A1, A2, B1. B2) and any other events occurring that day. The morning announcements are read each day following the Pledge of Allegiance before being posted on Aspen so students and parents can access the daily announcements throughout the day.
Sunday evening - The Green & White Weekly (emailed and posted on Twitter (X), Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn), BMHS App (The Week Ahead)
Daily (Monday - Friday) - BMHS App (events occurring that day) 6:00 a.m., Morning Announcements (7:25 a.m.) Aspen (announcements) 7:30 a.m.
If you are not receiving these announcements, please make sure we have your correct email address.

The BMHS App provides quick access to timely news and upcoming events. It also allows the user to determine how often and what type of notifications they receive. The first page provides 9 options (not all options are available to all users). The "News" option provides a weekly overview of coming events at BMHS. There is also a daily announcement that includes the schedule rotation, meetings and other events occurring that day.
The "Events" option provides access to the BMHS Calendar, Fine Arts Calendar, and Athletics Calendar. Each of these calendars is dynamic and encompasses the entire school year.
The "My ID" is only available to students and staff.
The "Directory" provides access to all Staff emails and, if applicable, phone number.
The "Quicklinks" option provides quick access to Aspen, Athletics, Community Pass, Guidance, Clubs, Nutrition, and the BMHS Library sign up form.
"Documents" provides access to Bus Routes, Lunch Menus, Handbooks, Program of Studies and other documents.
The "Map" option provides driving directions to MVC schools and locations for school functions.
The "Language" icon allows the user to convert the app into one of 42 different languages.
The phone icon on the bottom of the home page will call our Absentee Line (978-528-8710).
