New Year, New Members

Get ready to welcome a wave of new members!

As you may know, the Marketing Committee has been hard at work implementing an external strategy to increase public awareness of Optimist International and attract new members.

As the committee’s efforts begin to pay off, we need your help to ensure that these potential new members are welcomed with open arms and given the opportunity to learn more about our organization.

Here are a few things you can do:

  • Update your club information in the database. It is important that your club's meeting dates and location information is up-to-date so that people can easily find you. You can find the Club Locator and review your information here: https://www.optimist.org/join.cfm.
  • Be prepared to answer questions about your club. Potential new members may have questions about your club's activities, mission, and membership requirements. Take some time to familiarize yourself with your club's information so that you can answer these questions confidently.
  • Make sure your club is welcoming and inclusive. We want all potential new members to feel welcome and included in our organization. Make sure your club is a place where everyone feels valued and respected.

We know that this is a change from the traditional way of recruiting members, but we believe that it is important to be open to new ways of growing our organization. We are confident that by working together, we can make this new approach a success!
