Recognizing Our Amazing Teachers!
Everyone knows that Guardian Angels boasts some of the most amazing teachers and staff members! Each week, we want to recognize two of them and shower them with love and appreciation. This week we celebrate our 2nd Grade Teacher, Linda Moore, and our School Counselor, Olivia Utchman.
| | Linda is truly exceptional. She is kind and patient with her students, working diligently to prepare them. She is cherished by everyone and is a veteran teacher whom all students look forward to having. Thank you, Linda, for your deep care for our students. | | We deeply appreciate Olivia for her unwavering support to everyone, including our teachers. Her attentive listening and comforting responses put everyone at ease. Olivia cares immensely for our students, showing concern equal to that of their parents. Thank you, Olivia, for always being available to help our students with any concern. | | Please join us in recognizing and celebrating these two outstanding GA staff members. You can leave a kind note here. Notes, cards, emails, flowers, gift cards, etc. are always appreciated! | | |
Join Us in Funding Future Angels This Giving Tuesday
Guardian Angels is Family. We, as parishioners of Guardian Angels Parish, grow together through the community that is unique only to GA. This community is deeply committed to growing our legacy through the next generation of Catholics devoted to living their faith. One way we do this is through our parish’s largest ministry, Guardian Angels School.
Our school has provided our Angels a magnificent place to grow for more than 120 years. Students leave our school with a strong Catholic core and are ready to compete with the top learners in a competitive academic world. Every year, we strive to provide a top-notch education for all of our families.
Guardian Angels is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for our students to flourish. We are determined to continue Funding Future Angels. Our plan to accomplish this in the coming years includes updating our auxiliary services spaces and making safety enhancements and improvements to our school campus and facilities through purchasing additional security cameras and replacing the doors in the Pit.
We are asking for your help to make these projects happen. This will be our school’s single largest fundraiser for the year.
Consider supporting Guardian Angels School on Giving Tuesday!
Giving Tuesday is the week after Thanksgiving; it’s a movement to encourage people to give back to their own community. This year, we hope you give back to our Guardian Angels community as we participate in this Giving Tuesday Campaign on December 2nd.
Be on the lookout for an email on December 2nd with a specific link to donate to this one-day fundraising campaign. Donations made on December 2nd, through our online platform, will not be assessed by the Archdiocese, meaning your entire donation stays with Guardian Angels. Offline donations (cash or checks) or donations made on a different day are not included in this assessment waiver.

Last Wednesday Herald Until After Thanksgiving

Additional Donation Match for Elizabeth Pyles
We have been blown away by the outpouring of support our GA Family has shown for Mrs. Pyles as she battles ovarian cancer for a second time. We were contacted by another anonymous donor who would like to match an additional $5,000 in donations. Donations will be collected through Angels on Call, our school/parish organization that supports families in need. Contributions may be made here or by dropping cash or checks at the GA school or parish offices.
Other opportunities to honor and support Mrs. Pyles are below.
Meal Train
To help ease the daily burden on her family, we have organized a meal train. If you are able to provide a meal, please sign up using the link below. At this time, please sign up for only one date so that as many families as possible can participate. Sign up here.
Teal Shirt Pep Rally
Teal represents ovarian cancer awareness. On November 21, students may wear a teal shirt instead of their uniform shirt by making a suggested donation of $1—or any amount you are comfortable giving—in honor of Mrs. Pyles. All donations to be out of uniform can be brought to school on November 21 and will go directly to support her family.
Thank you for helping us show Mrs. Pyles how deeply she is loved and appreciated. Your prayers, generosity, and support mean more than you know.

The Holidays are here and my annual toy drive is up and going for the 2025 season. My goal is to bring the joy of the holidays to as many children as possible. By our GA Family helping to collect new, unwrapped toys and games for children, I hope to make a big difference in many families holiday this year. The gifts this year will be donated to Lincoln Heights Elementary School, my goal is for every child to receive at least one Christmas gift. Great News for Anyone Who Pays Ohio Income Tax and Supports Guardian Angels
We have many students at Guardian Angels who benefit from scholarships provided by the Catholic Education Foundation (CEF). Ohio taxpayers who donate to the CEF may be able to claim a dollar-for-dollar, non-refundable tax credit on their state income tax return, up to $750 per donor. For more information, click here.
We hope you consider a donation before the end of the year and choose "Guardian Angels School (Cincinnati)(C00160)" from the drop-down when prompted.
Parishioner and tax expert, Brien Dulle, is donating. Here's what he had to say. "Supporting the CEF is a no-brainer for me for two reasons. As a graduate of GA that is also sending my daughters to the school, I want to invest in the education that our children receive. Secondly, there's no extra money out of pocket since I can claim a dollar-for-dollar Ohio tax credit."

Sensory-Friendly Mass at St. John Fisher First Sundays of the Month
St. Gregory the Great Family of Parishes and the Archdiocese of Cincinnati Office for Persons with Disabilities offers a Sensory-Friendly Mass on the first Sunday of the month at St. John Fisher. All are welcome! A special invitation is extended to any person with autism, developmental disabilities, Alzheimer’s, dementia, or sensory issues. These Masses may include lower lighting, quiet music and/or no music, and shorter more literal homilies; however, the biggest difference is that we try to create an environment free of stigma. We encourage families and individuals to get up and move if needed, to bring alternative seating, fidgets or noise cancelling headphones, and to participate in the liturgy just as they are.
