A Message from our Executive Director | | | | |
As spring arrives, bringing a sense of renewal and hope, we are reminded of the strength and compassion that define our community.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who supported our Palliative Care Telethon in February. Your generosity ensures that individuals and families facing some of life’s most difficult moments receive comfort, dignity, and care close to home.
Looking ahead, we are excited for our Ride the River event on May 31st, supporting cardiac and stroke care at our hospital. These services are critical, not only in saving lives, but in preserving quality of life. Timely access to the right care can
| | |
mean the difference between full recovery and lasting impact, allowing patients to return to their families, their independence, and the moments that matter most.
Thank you for continuing to stand with us and for helping ensure exceptional care is always close to home.
Warm regards,
Trish Buote

| | REAL PEOPLE. REAL STORIES. | | We are so grateful to the third-party events that choose to support the Brockville & District Hospital Foundation. Each event is more than just a fundraiser. They are a story of love, remembrance and support. | | OLIVER'S MEMORIAL FUNDRAISER | | Pictured from L-R: Trish Buote, Executive Director of the Brocville & District Hospital Foundation, Beth Kent, Baby Oliver, ?, Tiffany Tamblyn | |
Oliver’s Memorial Fundraiser is a heartfelt tribute rooted in love and remembrance in support of pediatric equipment used in the care of infants and children at Brockville General Hospital.
This event has raised over $8,000 over the last 2 years, helping to ensure local families receive the care they need close to home.
At the heart of it all is Beth Kent. Her dedication, strength and deep love for Oliver are woven into every part of this fundraiser. Through this special event, Oliver’s memory continues to shine, bringing comfort, connection and purpose to so many.
We were grateful to Beth as she shared her reflections on the success of this event, what it means to see so many people support this cause in Oliver’s name, and how this fundraiser keeps his spirit present in such a meaningful way.
Beth, thank you for your courage, your passion and for continuing to turn love into lasting impact for children and families in our community. Our cup runneth over. ❤️

Thank you and congratulations to Jeanette MacNaughtan and her family on the incredible success of this year's Redneck Rendezvous fundraiser in support of Palliative Care and Pancreatic Cancer Canada.
This year's event raised an amazing $43,000, with $10,000 going to Pancreatic Cancer Canada and $33,000 supporting the Palliative Care Program at Brockville General Hospital.
We are so grateful to Jeanette and everyone who helped bring this special event to life. Over the past 4 years, Jeanette's imaginative and creative fundraising efforts have raised a remarkable combined total of $100,000 in honour of her brother, Jeff Boisvenue.
This beautiful tribute is a reflection of the care and compassion that continues to make a difference for patients and families in our community.
Thank you, Jeanette. ❤️

We had the pleasure of meeting Riley Campbell, who so kindly donated art supplies for our patients on our mental health floor to enjoy.
This meaningful gift was given in honour of her grandmother, Joan Campbell, who found so much joy in the art classes during her stays. Although Joan passed away in December of 2024, her love of creativity lives on and Riley continues to hold those special memories close through the art that her grandmother created.
Riley, thank you for sharing a piece of your grandmother's story and helping bring moments of comfort, expression and joy to others. ☀️
