Pastor Trudy's Message
Back to the garden! I don't know about you, but this is NOT my favorite time of year to think about the garden. Back in the spring it was all hope and possibility. Now everything looks tired and I'm tired of watering and weeding and trimming. It's the same for the garden of Eden featured in our scripture for this week - all possibilities are there. Can it inspire us to look at the world we are in with hope and possibility?
Creator God, with hope You breathed into the person created from the dirt. With hope You planted a garden for the person to tend. With hope You filled the creation with animals and another person...to work together to live into Your promises. Help us also to live into this promise in caring for each other and creation. In Jesus' name, Amen.
