Shalom Friends,
The rosh chodesh was reportedly seen from only one eye witness in Israel tonight (10/12/2026). Since today was the 30th day of the month, this rosh chodesh makes tomorrow the first day of the eighth Hebrew month. From all of us here at Sabbath Keepers Fellowship, we wish you a blessed and joyful new month, chaverim (friends)!
As days in the Biblical Calendar are from sunset to sunset, rosh chodesh (the first day of the month), begins when the new moon has been sighted in Israel, and continues until sunset the following day. Rosh Chodesh is a celebratory day (Numbers 10:10), which was traditionally commemorated by blowing the shofar (Numbers 10:10; Psalm 81:4[3]), having a festive meal (1 Samuel 20:5, 24), and worshiping at the Beit HaMikdash (Temple) (Isaiah 66:23; Ezekiel 46:3) with a special sacrifice (Numbers 28:11-15; Ezra 3:4-5, Ezekiel 45:17, Ezekiel 46:6). How ever you choose to celebrate the day, may it be a blessed and joyous occasion!
