As a reminder, the Front Office open at 7:30 AM each morning and closes at 3:30 PM on regular school days and at 1:50 PM on Wednesdays. If you need to stop by the office, please plan to do so during Office Hours. Thank you!
Open Enrollment is Coming! Great Hearts Open Enrollment for new families is coming November 7-December 9, 2022. This enrollment is primarily for students applying for in Kindergarten in 2023-24 and 5th grade students applying for 6th Grade enrollment at Trivium Prep in 2023-24. Literary & Historical Figure Day is the Half Day, November 4
Save the Date for our second annual Literary & Historical Figure Day on the half day, Friday, November 4. Scholars are invited to choose a literary or historical figure from the Archway curriculum and come to school dressed as that figure* on Friday, November 4. This is a great way to celebrate our love of history and literature. All students are encouraged to participate!
New! Students must complete and return a Costume Proposal Form to their classroom teacher by October 27 in order to participate.
*Please remember that the character you choose should be from one of the Classics-to-Keep from the K-5 list, Greek or Roman Mythology or a historical character from our History or Science curriculum. It’s very important that your character looks like the author’s description of the character and not a movie version. If your costume will be at all see through, you must wear your uniform underneath. If you choose not to participate, you will need to come in uniform. All costumes must abide by dress code guidelines in the Family Handbook and must exclude any frightening or aggressive costumes or accessories.

Read-a-thon Results
77 scholars participated in the Usborne Read-a-thon earlier this month, our best year yet! They read a total of 26,404 minutes over 10 days!

As in previous years, there was a grade level reading challenge proposed to all of the scholars in grades 1-5. The original goal from Usborne was to read 300 minutes over 10 days and many of the scholars went above and beyond. Thank you, PSO & 2nd Grade Families! | Thank to our 2nd grade families and the PSO for the delicious "Country Fair" themed lunch for our faculty and staff! The meal was delicious and the photo booth was so much fun! We appreciate your support of our school staff!

Fall is here and we are all excited to keep learning and growing together! Many PSO programs grow from ideas suggested by parents, so we’re asking all families to answer the Fall 2022 Survey. If you would like to be entered into a drawing to win a $25 Amazon gift card, be sure to look for instructions once you submit the survey. This keeps your response anonymous and gives you a chance to win some shopping money! A winner will be randomly selected and notified on 10/31.

Traffic Flow for Student Drop-off/Pick-up
With the expansion of Archway and addition of the new building, there are significant changes to the traffic flow for the upcoming school year. Please carefully review the new Archway Traffic Flow for Student Drop-off and Pick-up and reach out with any questions. Taking the time to understand these procedures will help to ensure the safety of our students/staff and a smooth traffic flow.
Carpooling Update: Our east side pick-up lane has had a faster track and will now be our designated carpool lane.
If you have 2 or more Archway ONLY pick-up cards, you will be guided into this fast-track lane for a faster pick-up. Please be sure to have your pick-up cards ready to show our traffic controllers that you are carpooling so they can guide you to the appropriate lane. To maintain the flow of pick-up, others may be directed to the fast-track lane, but carpools will be given priority. Please do not enter the carpool lanes until you are directed to do so.
As a reminder, if you are picking up Middle School students DO NOT ARRIVE to campus before 3:15 PM. This creates significant delays. If you arrive before 3:15, we will ask you to go back into our pick-up lanes and try again.
Please follow the link below to review the DETAILED Archway Traffic Flow Plan and be sure to share this link with anyone authorized to drop-off/pick-up your children.
