70 Years of People Helping People!

In 1956, eight teachers from Green Acres School in Lebanon came together with a simple idea: neighbors could help one another build stronger financial futures.

We started as Linn Co Schools Federal Credit Union, then became Linn-Co Federal Credit Union. Today, we're 44 North Credit Union – serving members and communities across Oregon's 44th parallel.

As we celebrate where we've been, we're excited about what's next! Thank you for trusting us through generations of first savings accounts, first cars, new homes, growing businesses, and everyday moments that matter.

Putting Community Support Into Action

The 44 North Credit Union Community Fund helps nonprofits, schools, teachers, youth programs, and members in need. From camp costs and school activities to utility bills and tanks of gas, the fund provides support where it can make a meaningful difference.

Most recently, the Community Fund Committee contributed more than $700 at the Linn County Youth Livestock Auction, supporting Local 4-H participants at the Linn County Fair.

It's one more way we put the credit union philosophy of "people helping people" into action throughout our community!

A Summer Full of Great Reads!

Many of our Star Saver kids turned pages into progress during the 44 North Credit Union Summer Reading Program! Children age 14 and under were invited to read 10 books, complete a reading log, and earn a $10 deposit into their Star Saver Account.

One of our favorite parts was reading the titles of the completed logs. Our young members explored everything from If You Give a Pig a Party to Dragons Love Tacos.

Congratulations to every reader who participated, and thank you to the parents and guardians who encouraged them along the way. We loved seeing so many books, big imaginations, and healthy savings habits come together this summer!

Scam of the Week

The Urgent Payment Text is a Trick!

Your phone buzzes with an alarming message: someone has charged $8,250 through Apple Pay. The text includes a case number and a phone number to call... and warns that another charge will be approved in 35 minutes if you don't act immediately.

The size of the charge and the ticking clock are meant to make you panic. But the text is not from Apple Support. It's a "smishing" scam, phishing delivered by text message.

If you call the number, a scammer may ask for your name, card information, Apple account email, password, or a one-time security code. Sharing those details could give them access to your account and your money!

Do not use the phone number or link in the message. Open your Apple Wallet or financial account using the app you normally use, or type the official website address yourself. If you're concerned about a transaction involving your 44 North Credit Union account, call us directly at 541-259-1235.

Federally Insured - Keeping your funds at a credit union is one of the best places for your money. All deposits at 44 North Credit Union are federally insured by the NCUA, up to $250,000 per account. 

Under the operating rules of the National Automated Clearing House Association (NACHA), which are applicable to the ACH transactions involving your account(s), we are not required to give next day notice to you of receipt of an ACH item and we will not do so. However, we will continue to notify you of the receipt of payments in the periodic statements we provide you.

Credit given by 44 North to you with respect to an automated clearing house credit entry is provisional until we receive final settlement for such entry through a Federal Reserve Bank. If we do not receive such final settlement, you are hereby notified and agree that we are entitled to a refund of the amount credited to you in connection with such entry and the party making payment to you via such entry (i.e. the originator of the entry) shall not be deemed to have paid you the amount of such entry.
