Frequently Asked Questions

My student is already working with a school counselor. Do they still need this? 

School counselors work incredibly hard, but they’re also responsible for the entire student body. This means they often don’t have the bandwidth to specialize in college admissions for highly selective schools. 

Ace the Application was specifically designed to fill that gap, giving your student the focused, strategic guidance on highly selective admissions that most school counselors simply aren’t resourced to provide. 

What if my student has already started their applications? 

That’s great news! If this is the case, your student will be able to immediately apply what they learn. 

That said, Ace the Application meets students wherever they are in the process. Whether they’re starting from scratch or already have drafts in progress, they’ll leave with a clearer strategy, understanding of what admissions offers at highly selective schools are truly looking for, and stronger materials than they came in with. 

Will my student’s essays sound like they were written by a consultant? 

Not at all, and this is something I feel very strongly about. 

A good college admissions counselor never writes a student’s essays for them. During Ace the Application, I teach students how to write powerfully and authentically in their own voice.

The essays your students submit will be entirely their own work – just stronger, clearer, and more strategically positioned than they would have been otherwise.
