Greetings Leaders,

As National Principals Month comes to an end, we want to take a moment to recognize and celebrate the incredible work of principals as they lead their students and communities. Their leadership is pivotal in creating positive learning environments, directly impacting student achievement and, consequently, their schools' CCRPI scores.

The Importance of CCRPI

The College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI) is a yearly tool that measures how well Georgia's schools, districts, and state are preparing students for college and career. It serves as a platform for communication, accountability, and school improvement, promoting college and career readiness for all Georgia public school students.

The CCRPI consists of five main components:

  • Content Mastery
  • Progress
  • Closing Gaps
  • Readiness
  • Graduation Rate (high school only)

Additionally, the CCRPI reports on student subgroup performance and school climate. Leaders can leverage the CCRPI to communicate their progress with the community, set goals, collaborate to improve student outcomes, and implement data-driven decisions.

The Principal's Role

Principals are instrumental in shaping the culture and direction of their schools. They rank second, only to teachers, in influencing student achievement, making their commitment to fostering high standards and driving instructional excellence crucial for maximizing their school's performance on the CCRPI and beyond.

To provide a professional learning experience targeting this topic, we are excited to announce our upcoming toolbox session, "Designing Your Game Plan for the CCRPI," led by Mr. Bobby Smith. This is a unique opportunity to deepen your understanding of the CCRPI and develop strategies to enhance your school’s performance.
