WORKING FOR YOU

PA STATE REPRESENTATIVE

DONNA SCHEUREN,

147th DISTRICT

As your state representative, legislation and policy are key parts of my job, but helping residents, families, and local businesses navigate state government is just as important.

Before serving in the Pennsylvania House, I spent over 30 years as a businesswoman and manufacturer’s representative in the industrial and manufacturing sector. I am also a small business owner, where I oversee operations and employee benefits for my family’s construction company. My experience in the private sector gives me a strong understanding of the challenges facing job creators and the importance of common-sense solutions that help businesses thrive.

Many people are surprised to learn how often my office works directly with constituents to resolve everyday issues and connect them with valuable state resources. My staff and I are committed to making state government more accessible and ensuring residents receive the assistance they need when dealing with agencies, paperwork, or state programs.

I am proud to represent the 147th District of the Commonwealth, as shown below.

Services Available Through My Office

The office regularly assists constituents with a wide range of services, including: PennDOT vehicle services, assistance resolving issues with state agencies, notary services, Pennsylvania Treasury unclaimed property assistance, veteran services, Pennsylvania income tax forms and information, handicapped parking placards and license plates, SEPTA senior fare card applications, property tax/rent rebate and LIHEAP applications, birth and death certificate applications, free Pennsylvania road maps, and state publications as well as PA House citations

recognizing notable accomplishments and community milestones.

Additionally, we can help with providing election information and mail-in ballot applications, filing consumer complaints, accessing small business resources, navigating professional licensing, obtaining disability-related services, and connecting residents with local and state programs that may benefit them. If you’re unsure where to begin with a state-related issue, my office is always happy to help point you in the right direction.

Supporting Local Businesses

Small businesses are the backbone of our local economy. My office is available to help business owners connect with state agencies, access available programs and grants, and navigate questions related to regulations or workforce development. I also value opportunities to meet with local business leaders to hear directly about the challenges and opportunities facing our community.

Upcoming Events

Throughout the year, my office hosts several events to connect residents with helpful resources and services. You may also find us at various Community Day events hosted by all the townships across the 147th.

Our goal is to publish this column on a regular basis (bi-weekly or monthly, depending on the content we receive), so the more member businesses and organizations that send us material, the better.
