A very special delivery

Judi Jubilee's gems

We want to send out big hugs to our supporters for showering us with puppy supplies and donations for foster girl Judi Jubilee and her little ones. Her foster family is still working around the clock to ensure everyone continues to thrive.

In case you missed it, soon after pulling Judi from a shelter, we learned she was actually pregnant. After intense monitoring, her foster family got her in for a C-section at just the right time. There were nine puppies; however, one was a water puppy and two died a few days later.

Judi Jubilee is doing well, managing the demands of motherhood like a pro. She's benefiting from a pumpkin supplement and fatty acids to keep her coat in top shape and is voraciously eating to keep up with the puppies' needs—she's consuming at least six cups of kibble a day, plus free feeding.

If you'd like to help out, we've added Judi Jubilee's food to our Amazon Wish List. You can find the list at dfwbulldogrescue.org/donate.

Please note, our primary focus is on the pups' daily care and their immediate needs. While it's too early to talk about adoption, we do have pre-approved families on standby, ready to welcome a pup IF or when the time comes.

We're posting regular updates on our Facebook page, if you'd like to follow the pups' journey. We appreciate your prayers and good vibes. They are needed. ♥

Chillin' like a Bulldog

We wanted to send out a special thanks to our friend Vivian for her beautiful artwork that we showcased on our summer T-shirt.

Vivian is an 11-year-old artist from Austin, Texas. Inspired by her beloved Bulldog Veya, a Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue alumna, Vivian created this artwork using colored pencils and paint.

If you'd like to snag a shirt with Vivian's masterpiece, check out this site. Also, we plan to have note card sets with the art available for purchase at Bull-O-Ween. You rock, Vivian!

Friends, get ready to ROCK

Our friend Chris Marsh is putting together a fantastic evening for us and you'll want to join us for this fun rescue fundraiser!

We'll start off the evening with a Bulldog gathering (from 5 to 7 p.m.) so you all can meet some of our awesome foster dogs.

Then, we'll crank up the bands!

Chris is also planning to do a raffle, a 50/50 raffle, a costume contest, etc., to help keep the fun (and fundraising) going all night.

You won't want to miss out on this raffle table, special thanks to the following donors: Frisco Roughriders, Acre Whiskey Distillery, Ghoultown, Record Town, Cidercade, Graffiti Pasta, County Line Records, Trinity River Distillery, Beth Marie's Soda Fountain, Bullhug, Skydives Spaceland, Dark Age Tattoo, Castro Luengas Ink, Scary Good Coffee, Texas Ballet Theater, 1611 Golf Club, Big Laugh Comedy Club, Dallas Comedy Club, Raising Cane's, Artist Ricky Langley, Ripley's Believe It or Not, The Classic Cafe and more!

We're also thrilled to share that Dawn White of CBS News Texas will be assisting with special emcee duties.

Be sure to RSVP on our Facebook event page as we'll be posting more updates as we get closer to event. Our heartfelt thanks to Chris for helping to coordinate this to help our doggos. Let's rock for the Bulldogs!

Who's ready for doughnuts?

We're gearing up for a special fundraiser with Krispy Kreme during the month of November. Click here to be notified when the "pastries for paws" online event goes live. You'll be able to snag some dozens for you and your favorite friends, all while raising dough for our foster dogs.

Slice, slice baby

On November 3, we'll be visiting Campisi's in Rockwall for a Pizza Paw-ty and we hope you can swing by for a quick bite. We're inviting our foster families, so some foster dogs may be in attendance, too.

Many thanks to our friends at Campisi's for hosting this gathering for us! RSVP here.

A look back at our breed

From the United Kingdom, this beautiful gal is Ch. Silent Duchess, born in 1904. She was highly regarded and featured on the cover of "Bulldogs and Bulldog Men," originally published in 1905 (we found a copy online for $750 if anyone is interested!) Thank you to our friend Elizabeth for sharing this historical info.

We're all ears

Do you have a Senior Saint in your home too? Want to be part of this conversation about arthritis? Visit this thread on Facebook.

Do you have other questions you'd like to present to your fellow Bulldoggers? Email us and we'll post it to the group.

Share how your Bulldog transformed your life

Remember Me Thursday wants to hear your story! Share how your furry friend has made a difference, and you could win prizes for your favorite rescue group (wink, wink), including cash, dog food, and toys. Click here to share your experience with their organization.

Thank you, Brandi!

We want to give our friend Brandi a round of thanks for hosting the recent Pampered Chef fundraiser for our program. With our supporters' help, we hit the $500 mark and she'll be donating a basket for our Bull-O-Ween silent auction table. Brandi chose to support us because she appreciates the meticulous vetting and application process of our rescue, which ensures that every Bulldog placed is matched with a family who understands and is prepared for the breed’s needs. Thanks so much for your generosity, Brandi!

Helping hands needed

We are in dire need of more foster families in the Dallas/Fort Worth area! We'd love to find some helping hands who can fill in when are other foster families are out of town. The time you give will be brief, but the difference you make will be everlasting. Message us to learn how to apply and join our lifesaving team!

Hawkins and Hazel Bloom update

From their foster momma: A few weeks ago, the twins, Hazel Bloom and Hawkins, visited the cardiologist, and unfortunately, the news wasn’t what we had hoped for.

It’s clear that Hawkins is in a more critical state than Hazel. Both are not candidates for surgery, which also means they won’t be undergoing spay or neuter procedures.

Hawkins' heart is particularly vulnerable and could enter arrhythmia at any moment. Hazel has tested positive for heartworms in addition to her heart condition; however, the echocardiogram did not detect any active heartworms. She will remain on heartworm prevention and will be retested in six months.

Although neither Hazel nor Hawkins is expected to have a long life, our rescue is committed to ensuring they enjoy the best quality of life possible for as long as they can.

Let's introduce you to some of

our other foster dogs

If you are interested in adoption, you must first fill out an adoption application, which can be found on our website. The application lets us know what you're looking for and if you are approved, we can help determine which one of our dogs may work best for your family.

Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue is a non-profit, completely volunteer-driven group dedicated to saving and rehoming Bulldogs
with loving families.

LIVE. LOVE. RESCUE.

Hundreds of Bulldogs are lost, abandoned, taken to animal shelters, or surrendered to rescue every year. Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue accepts Bulldogs whose owners can no longer keep them, and retrieves Bulldogs from shelters and undesirable situations. Our Bulldogs are placed in suitable homes as soon as reasonably possible.
