FOUNDATION NEWS
Information & updates about the Foundation and its programs
Sharing knowledge and experiences is more important than ever. Although the COVID crisis demanded changes to our gatherings' usual in-person format one year ago, the French-American Foundation remains committed to advancing the dialogue between France and the United States.

FAF staff have been working hard to provide the same high-quality programming to attendees in a virtual environment. We're so proud of our online webinars' success, and we're excited to offer you even more in the weeks to come!

This spring you can expect discussions on today's transatlantic relationship; the issues and evolutions in air and space and women's leadership in STEM; the current state of the arts and culture sector; one decade since the Arab Spring in 2011 and the trends that will shape this region and its relations with the United States and Europe; and populist movements in the United States and France. All of these topics will be presented, discussed, and moderated.

Lastly, we're delighted to share the list of finalists for our 2021 Translation Prize. Stay tuned in the coming weeks for the announcement of our winners!

"The United States and its allies in Canada, Britain and the European Union on Monday announced sanctions on several Chinese officials alleged to have links to what U.S. officials say is a genocidal campaign against Uyghur Muslims. (...)"

"The message China’s top diplomats delivered at last week’s contentious conference with U.S. officials in Alaska was simple and stark: Pax Americana is dead. (...)"

"The US and EU are poised to reboot a joint effort on how to handle an increasingly assertive China, days after working with the UK and Canada to impose sanctions on officials over human rights abuses in Xinjiang. (...)"
