1.) Prayer for Uvalde, Texas
Loving God,
Gather to your heart the victims of violence and hate.
In the wake of unexplainable suffering, walk with us.
Comfort those who lost loved ones unexpectedly and needlessly.
Renew their hearts with your grace.
Wash them with your tears.
Breathe your life into their spirits.
Guide us through our fears and anxious moments.
Bless us with the knowledge of your presence always.
Raise up among us those who will work tirelessly for unity and reconciliation.
May we all become agents of your peace.
Amen
2.) Posting, Communicating and Marketing Open Positions
As we look to fill remaining open positions for next school year in our Early Learning programs I wanted to send you some ideas of where to post your open jobs in order to maximize your reach. If you have other creative ideas that you have used please send them my way so I can share with all. Thanks!
· Indeed – you can post as a normal job posting OR you can pay additional to level up your candidate search – one of those is “Matched Candidates” – it allows you to reach out to people on the platform that have not applied to your posting to invite them to apply based on their resume.
· Idealist – a great board for people looking for these types of positions
· Post in Parish or Regional Parish Bulletins
· Reach out to Nearby Colleges and Community Colleges Early Education or Elementary Education Departments
· If any of your families have access to a “Nextdoor” type app and it allows job postings or Facebook groups that allow job postings as well
· Linkedin, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts
· You can also post at:
WSFI, Washington Federation of Independent Schools, www.wfis.org

4.) Licensed ONLY: PACE is Now Available to Meet Licensing Education Requirement
Announcement from DCYF: PACE – Provider Access to a Community Equivalent – is here! Our first sessions have started but if this pathway interests you, there will be more opportunities to join in the near future.
PACE is DCYF’s new community-based pathway to complete your licensing education requirement for an initial certificate. PACE is considered a community equivalent because when you are done you will have an equivalent for meeting your licensing requirements.
If you haven’t already, be sure to indicate how you want to meet your education through your MERIT account. To learn more about other options and see which one is right for you, visit the DCYF website and scroll down to “Equivalents.” You can also find information about PACE here
We did a License Program Webinar on the “Job Role Education” tile on your MERIT account in November – please see link to the video here - Vimeo
5.) Licensed ONLY: Updates to the Facility/Site Details page in MERIT
Announcement from DCYF: We are updating the Facility/Site Details page in MERIT for licensed Child Care Centers and Family Homes. This update includes a new “Licensed Job Roles” tab with the following features:
A preview of the dashboard for each staff member working in a licensed early learning role. The dashboard provides a snapshot view of where an individual is in completing staff qualifications.
Filters that allow an employer to refine staff information by job roles, specific staff qualification, and status of qualifications (i.e., met, unmet, in-progress).
This new feature will be available June 2022.
Thank you and have a great week!
