Deadline to Register for the General Election

To register in New Jersey, you must be:


• A United States citizen
• At least 17 years old, though you may not vote until you have reached the age of 18
• A resident of the county for 30 days before the election
• A person not serving a sentence of incarceration as the result of a conviction of any indictable offense under the laws of this or another state or of the United States.

Residents of New Jersey are able to register to vote right online. You just need your date of birth and either your Driver's License (or non-driver ID Card) -or- a social security number and the ability to sign on-screen.

There are several offices up for election this November at the State, County, and Municipal levels as well as local Board of Education positions. The official lists of candidates from the County Clerk's office are below. These lists also include how many open seats for each position as well as the order each candidate will be listed on the ballots on voting day.
