Shabbat, July 19

  • Zoom is available

Please note that due to ongoing construction at Harvard Hillel, Worship and Study services will be held at First Church Cambridge beginning on June 7. (We will continue to have monthly services in Brookline.) We will be in the Harter Room, which is up the ramp from the kitchen. Please feel free to be in touch with any questions or concerns.

We will be responsible for setting up and breaking down the room at First Church, so please consider arriving earlier than usual to help. We may enjoy a l'chaim in the Harter Room, but may not bring alcohol out of that room. We must also bring any alcohol we would like to drink and then take it when we leave.

Minyan Service Opportunities

We need folks to volunteer to be present early at services and to stay late to help clear up after Kiddush. If you have ideas about how to encourage members to help out more (or simply want to help out yourself!), please be in touch: rabbijim@worshipandstudy.org.

Tzedakah Opportunities

  • The next Shabbat Dinner in Brookline will be August 1 at 100 Centre Street at 4:30 pm. You are welcome to join for the fun as a volunteer (and have a delicious kosher meal). Please let me know if you're planning to come.
  • We will be taking the summer off from soup! Our next "Soup Making Thursday" at First Church Cambridge will be September 18 from 4:00-6:00 pm. Please let me know if you're planning to come.

Then Balak said to Balaam, “What have you done to me? Here I brought you to damn my enemies, and instead you have blessed them!”  He replied, “I can only repeat faithfully what the LORD puts in my mouth.” (Numbers 23:11-12)
