Important Updates

Quick FYIs

  • The Board will be performing a compliance drive soon. Please make sure your holiday lights and decor are stowed away for the season, trash/recycling cans are properly stored, and weeds are being taken care of.
  • Missing trash cans or extra trash cans -- by now, if you still have an extra can or are missing your can, you should contact the City of Hutto's Utility Department to discuss a solution.
  • Please leave sand in the sandbox and rocks in the future butterfly garden. Sand is slippery on concrete. Allowing Littles to bring it out creates a hazard. Please guide your Littles back to the sandbox should they bring sand out in their toys. A border will be installed soon.
  • Concrete repairs have been taking place. We apologize for the mess.
  • Q2 Assessment is due April 1st. Double check your autopay is setup correctly. Remember, you may log into the Portal to see your account balance at any time.
  • If you see an irrigation or plumbing leak, please text 737.268.8474 with the location so it can be addressed ASAP.
  • Boulders have been placed in the playground area as part of the requirements for our National Wildlife Federation Certified Wildlife Habitat certification. Hop Scotch and animal prints have also been added. Look out for more NWF improvements soon as we complete the process.

If not Friend, Why Friend-Shaped?

Friend-Shaped Feeties have been added to the playground. How many prints can you identify?

More prints coming soon!

None of the wild animal prints are friends in real life. Keep your distance and respect their environment should you encounter wild animals.

PDK Restroom Access

Numbers have been added to the restroom doors to allow easier identification of which bathroom should be unlocked on the app. Should you have any questions, please reach out to the office.

Events

Sign up to be included on the digital map! Click Here

The digital map, available 3/21, can be shared on your socials to help advertise the community-wide sale. Updates to the map can be made after the link is posted, so if you decide last minute you still want to participate, please complete the form. Addresses will be added until noon. Call the office if you fill out the form after 12 pm on 3/21.

Bulk pick up of any leftovers will be your responsibility and needs to be scheduled ASAP after the garage sale.

A banner will be installed at the entrance the week of the sale.

Alleyways: For the safety of all, please try to have your garage sale in your front yard.

This event will be packed with important information on how to care for your landscaping. As an added bonus, we will be doing another Plant Bar. The bar will begin after the presentation and Q&A. So, bring your questions! We can't wait to see everyone.

The Plant Bar is first come, first serve. We will not open the bar before the Q&A session has been completed. We request one plant per person so as many residents can enjoy the event.

The presentation is about 30 minutes to an hour depending on how many questions are asked. This event is geared towards adults, however kids are always welcome.

Emory Crossing Website - Wildlife

Snake Seminar

This is a kid-friendly event. Learn about coexisting with snakes and what to do if you encounter one. Living along a creek means we will always have wildlife in our neighborhood.

Details will be announced as soon as they are confirmed.

Spring is Here!

If you don't have a plan for weeds in your yard, now is the time to figure one out. Pulling is the best method for removing them. However, adding a post emergent can help. Apply in April, or per temperature instructions on the manufacturer's packaging.

It is time to prune your shrubs. If you have issues with ants, go ahead and treat them now. The rains helped bring them up from underground. Unfortunately, ants will be an ongoing battle.

Compliance Corner

Reminders:

Compliance drives are every other week. Trash cans in view and excessive weeds are the main concerns.

Trail Walks - Thanks for joining me on the Trail Walk this week, Terry! If you are interested in joining a trail walk, please email or call the office. You do not have to do the entire walk, which is about 2 miles. Walks are typically first thing in the morning on Tuesdays. However, I am happy to work with your schedule if I can.

Dog stations are numbered. Report problems to the office so they can be addressed ASAP. Please, pick up after your dog. The Association does not have a "Pooper Scooper" service. There are 10 stations along the trail and at the Amenity Center. Bags are provided, but you should always carry your own. Leaving scat behind is against the City of Hutto's stormwater management plan.

Parking: Spring Break is here! If you have guest vehicles for the week, please be courteous of your neighbors when parking. While the streets are public, parking in front of other's homes is a bother to a lot of residents.

The Amenity Center is a private parking lot with use being allowed while you are actively using the amenities. No overnight or day parking is allowed.

Do not park in Alleyways at any time.

Keep rocks weed free.

Trash cans may only be out on your trash day (M or T). This is also a city ordinance, as well as in our Documents.

Dumpsters are not for residential use. Please call your refuse company for bulk pickup options.

Fines by the dumpster company and the Association can be levied.
