New Girls Inc. Staff Around School

With school now in session, we are excited to continue inspiring all girls to be strong, smart and bold with the support of our newest team members and grateful for all the staff members who have helped shape our programs and mentor our girls over the years.

While you may see some new faces across school campuses, you will also see many familiar ones. Together, we are going to deepen our impact and reach more than 3,000 girls across Los Angeles in the new school year.

PROGRAMMING

Start of School Year Training

As we get ready for the new school year, our team spent a full week training and preparing to deliver high-quality Girls Inc. programming across our 12 LAUSD partner schools.

Grounded in the Girls Inc. Bill of Rights, our training focused on youth development, cultural responsiveness, school engagement, restorative justice, trauma-informed care and the curriculum and practices that shape the Girls Inc. experience.

This week of learning is an investment in the quality of our programming, giving our team the knowledge, tools and shared approach to create meaningful experiences for our girls.

We're excited to put this learning into action and welcome our students back!

Supporter Spotlight:
Shalom Omo-Osagie & In Movement Pilates

Miss LA County, Shalom Omo-Osagie, teamed up with In Movement Pilates Co-Founders Gina Chai and Devon Dionne this summer to host a series of pilates classes with a portion of proceeds benefiting Girls Inc. LA.

Shalom first got involved with Girls Inc. LA as a volunteer for our LA Girls Rise auction. "Through volunteering and attending the gala, I witnessed firsthand the incredible impact this organization has on young girls' lives."

After meeting Gina and Devon at a neighborhood block party, Shalom introduced them to Girls Inc. LA. They were inspired to get involved. "We're proud to support Shalom and an organization that shares our belief in helping young women feel strong, confident, and supported."

From fundraising events to volunteering, there are lots of ways for your business to support our work. Reply to this email to get involved.
